@salemgrafter we were scared of RE back then cos we were 13 (or at least i was). i don't think it would still work that great nowadays. they had to do sth new.
i preordered it too, but i guess i'm one of the few who really like it. lucky me :) and btw almost none of the stuff in the review is true. it sounds more like he needed to hate the game and was lookin for bad stuff. it has a lot of new gameplay mechanics that work quite nice (bleeding, infected, charge, dodge, shooting while dodging,...). the mood is fitting and the graphics fine (not the best but still fine). characters could have some more depths though. but it's still a good game and doesn't deserve the crap everyone gives it. i could do the same review about any other game (inc the ones i like). if u look hard enough u always find sth that bothers.
btw i just finished mass effect 2, a game highly appraised and found it utterly boring and soooo repetetive (go into cover, shoot, cover, shoot, cover...). and the story is this: find a crew! found it? ok, here's the final mission, game over. i'm glad i paid 60 euros for ORC and only 20 for ME2..
hmm after i heard there would be a dead space 2 i was like "nooo, don't ruin an awesome game with a probably lousy sequel!" and then dead space 2 was awesome too. more so featured the ultimate challenge in hardcore mode (which i think they did solely for me but i'm not sure). so i'll shut up until i see sth of dead space 3. optional coop is ok as long as it's optional, as we all know it takes away the suspense.
normally i'd be like 'WTF?!' but this is actually a relieve since re6 already comes out october (which of course could also be a market choice to push it back). now i got plenty of time playin that the rest of 2012 en start 2013 with infinite. those 2 games are the only ones i really cared about this year.
so any1 ideas what i can play till october? ;) i already got dmc hd, but since i got them all on ps2 too it won't hold me busy for long.
it's also a very nice game, that's why. i know lots of players who like it (more for the campaign than for the mp though). so many people here watchin 1 review of the game and declare it as bad. it's maybe not what u expected, but it did a lot of things right. feel and gameplay are good, graphic is fine.
ye dmc3 owns! btw u get a special ending if u kill 100+ enemies during the credits (even a trophy for the hd collection). i also really liked the song at the end of dragon age 2
jeez, stop hatin so much. IT IS a new era of gaming and no one of you would have fun playin re(1) right now cos 1st of all the game looks awful for today's graphics and it does have clunky controls. i loved the original re but i couldn't play it anymore. as a true re-fan i loved re4 and re5 too. it was all sth new but still very intriguing. WHY NOT be able to kill a horde of zombies instead of running away like in the 1st 3 res?? it's a refreshing change. as for re5, it's not scary but it's still a re-game that does continue the re-storyline. it also introduced me to the idea of online gaming which i haven't done prior to re5. i loved that it was build up completely for coop since i'm more of a coop player than competitive. that of course by itself takes out the scary part, but it is an excellent zombie-shooter that is a lot of fun and it looks awesome. in ORC we will be playing the bad guys which is intruiging enough for me to check it out. all those guys who keep saying that capcom has squandered the re-franchise need to relax and start being a bit more open-minded. if u don't like the game don't play it, there are other scary games out there today. i have been there from the start and i still love resident evil.
