I completely agree with the context of the article, but the score is too low. Should've been a 9. Despite its drawbacks, the meticulous detail and scope of the game, the design, the UI, the impressive seamless transition between DZ and campaign, so many reasons to rate this a solid 9, while not going higher to penalize it for the repetition, bugs, and sticky cover system that doesn't always work. But an 8? C'mon.
@myhomieyoda: Aww, how cute. You think you're only playing $200 and the rest is just for your plan...but your plan includes the remaining cost of the device. Over 2 years, you're paying $700-$800. People pay monthly and don't consider the cost as much vs when asked to pay $400 up front for a console. That's how it works.
He's on the right track. Tech advances rapidly. With the current model for consoles, they fall behind well before their life span is over. I like the way he's thinking.
Saw it today in IMAX and loved it! I've never really followed Deadpool and I knew to expect crude humor and a lot of violence, but I really didn't expect for it to be anything more, and I was wrong. If you're on the fence, just go see it. You won't regret it. Excellent job by Ryan Reynolds and there's actually a story here. I'd give it a 9. Oh, don't forget to stay for the post credits scene!
Would've rather had Homefront 2 than this. They were on to something with the multiplayer in the original. Nice blend between CoD and Battlefield with a unique feel to it that I really miss. This game apparently won't even have that type of multiplayer component.
