[QUOTE="RecklessTortuga"] Maybe because, I've never played "Outland" before and would consider buying it... ...so no, his complaint is not legit! He's just another greedy executive concerned about his yearly bonus!!!KevinnButlerNPK

Or maybe he runs a company that needs to make money to keep the company running. How dare a game developer worry about making money when they should just give all there games away for free and rely on pan handling to meet those mundane expenses like employee salaries and utilities?

...Yeah, ok! Well I tell you what, you continue to be concerned for some of these guys putting your money in their pockets while, they sell you whatever garbage they develop... I mean seriously, does "outland" seem like a AAA or AA title to you??? Go look at the game footage of this game and you tell me you would buy it!?!?

[QUOTE="RecklessTortuga"][QUOTE="soulitane"]They need to make money you know to make the games, seems like to me you're the one who need to stop whining.JangoWuzHere

First of all, I could picture someone like you lending this guy a shoulder to cry on because you obviously missed the point of his statement... His main concern was that, because Sony is giving away Two free titles to make up for PSN outage, he's afraid that between the time gamers download these games and start playing them that, they are just gonna disreguard all other content on PSN... Like he actually believes he is speaking for the general public...

If you are a standard PSN user why would you bother paying for a small game like Outland when you can get games like Little Big Planet, Infamous, Dead Nation, and/or Super Stardust for free?

His complaint is legit.

"Check this fool out..." Recent rumors suggest that Sony intends to bring the PlayStation Store back online on May 24, but not everyone is happy about it. Some PSN developers are worried about how Sony's catch-up plans will affect games scheduled to be released. Developers who spoke with Edge raised a number of potential problems for studios who had games scheduled to release during the outage, as well as games that are supposed to come out in the weeks immediately after the PlayStation Store is brought back online. First off, Sony's plans to have multiple updates per week could cause titles to be overlooked, especially for smaller games that haven't gotten much press. Secondly, the PSN outage has made it difficult for developers to play test online functionality and other features that require the service, which could lead to further complications. Another source of worry is the free games Sony is offering customers to make up for the outage, which could also cause players to overlook the launch of new games while they're playing their freebies. Housemarque CEO Ilari Kuittinen revealed that his company had no say in the decision to make its downloadable shooter Dead Nation one of the free titles (it was up to Sony and the game's publisher, Ubisoft), and he's worried that it may negatively impact the sales of its newest game, Outland. "My biggest concern is whether people will come back to use the system and browse the Playstation Store. On top of that, the second issue is that everyone now gets games for free...so people might just play the free games for a while. By the time they are ready to buy something, Outland is maybe old news." We'll have to wait and see how the relaunch of the PlayStation Store goes, but there appears to be some problems that don't have any easy solutions. Here's hoping that players don't overlook any games well-deserving of their attention, including Housemarque's clever new platformer. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/05/21/developers-raise-concern-over-psn-restoration.aspx "I mean, seriously, why can't these guys just shut up and make the games..."

I'll be honest, I'm a Nintendo gamer and I love playing the Wii. It's just a blast for me, and I enjoy playing online too in games such as Black Ops, and Mario Kart. However, I just won an Xbox 360 with Kinect at my senior prom. I have two options: unpack the system and enjoy it, or sell it and stick with just playing the Wii. The only reason why I don't want to unpack it is because I know that if I want to truly enjoy it, I'm going to have to pay to play online. Is it worth it if I'm already playing online with the Wii?

Well, that depends... Do you want to pay for "crap" or get free "crap"... To be honest, online gaming is overrated and is seriously overshadowing "single-player" experience... ... ...man, I miss the good 'ol days!!! :-(

It's a real shame that you value graphics over gameplay, to the point where you'll ignore a system because of it...Ravensmash
If you're referring to exclusives gameplay; I seriously hope you're not talking about Gears of War's gameplay??? Lol

Why didn't MS attack Sony's problems directly and made fun of them. The way that Sony goes after other companies such as saying Nintendo Wii is used just to baby sit kids.

Captainqwark10
Because Microsoft had RROD... Not even PSN being down, measured up to that disgrace...

I would agree with this but how many people still use Vista?

I didn't quite get that...???
