How "fun" a language is to learn has nothing to do with it being a national language. True, but, if only we could show the people who don't think it's fun that it is fun. Then, obviously, it becomes less of a chore and more of a joy...which it should be anyway. My point is that an official language should be based on the language spoken by the majority. Since Spanish is not spoken by the majority of Americans, it should not be the official language of the United States.

I think it should. It ensures that there will always be a universal tongue, in the United States, no matter what type of immigrants decide to move there.
