First of all, yes i do know the correct meaning of ironic, you'll see why i chose this headline.
So i got home after watching Indy IV (Great movie) and the damn wheel of my 2GB ipod Nano stopped working... Again. So i hit it and i worked for another 5 minutes. I got pissed at one point and threw one of my 'mad-but-not-really' fits, where i am mad but have a straight face and don't scream profanities, it's just that i break things. so i took my needle nosed plier and beat the **** out of my ipod, focusing on the damn wheel. After 10 minutes of doing that i put my headphones (Sennheiser PMX 60, love them) in and pressed play, it worked... And not just that the wheel worked perfect and the clicky sound had come back (Which had not happened in weeks). I was left in confusion, but i was happy, it still worked and today I'm getting a new Mp3 player so i can have the joy of destroying the ipod with a hammer. Has this ever happened to you?
The irony in this text: The ipod worked better have 'breaking' it, instead of fixing it.

You seem REALLY proud that you know what irony means, was that the "word of the day" in school or something?
I was tempted by that path...but the thought about leaving the forces and having nothing to fall back on swayed my decisionfrankyfitz
LMAO! Nothing to fall back on? Oh, besides the G.I. Bill (free college), Honorable Discharge (can't top it on a resume), experience (free world travel), and a free Security Clearance? I can see how you were "tempted by that path." Military's the best decision I've ever made, I have a good career lined up for when I get out. Your post = fail
Joining any military is a bad idea in my opinion, just because you enjoy war media doesn't mean you will like what really goes on there, everything your body and mind have to go through just to make it day by day, plus if your not an American, there is probably a good chance you would be bullied. Most people I know that are in the military are hardline neo-cons that really have problems with other races/nationalities(you know those guys calling French fries freedom fries? And the people that think Obama is Muslim? Those are the guys I know that are in the military). It might not be like that for everyone, but that's just what I've seen personally.ElectronicMagic
No offense, but I'm getting tired of people posting here that have NO IDEA what they're talking about. The military is one of the most diverse organizations in the world, people from all corners of the country from all races and religions. These "neo-cons" that you speak of is a harsh generalization and totally made up.
