If you're in a relationship, you can make any day you want special. If you're not, then it doesn't matter. Valentine's Day is mostly a marketing cash grab and it puts way too many expectations on everyone. But games with heart that are done well are hard to come by. I don't know why. Perhaps it's just too easy to get too cheesy. But some of the games in this list are defintely among the best. But Portal takes the cake!
These accessories are nice additions. Perhaps not full of pizzaz for everyone. I am sure more will come down the road. To me face-plates are useless. I would rather be able to customize my gamer picture or themes (on all 4 blades) with my own graphics or pictures. As for mouse and keyboard, I disagree with most of the comments. I can see how it would be desirable, but this is a console, not a PC (as others have pointed out). And it could provide an unfair advantage between those who buy and use a keyboard & mouse vs. those who don't (...not to mention it would be hard to design a game that can do both well on a console). I also really like the idea of an even playing field, where we all have to use the same interface... besides you can get pretty good with a controller over time. As for games, by Christmas I project (based on my monitoring of games and releases) that there will be a total of 135 games for X360, if not more. Just over 100 of these will be off-the-shelf games, and the others will be Live Arcade, etc. That's not bad. It will be months (6 at least, or even more) before the PS3 comes anywhere near close. I would however like to see more game diversity (i.e., kids games and others), and definitley more games supporting cooperative play and/or up to 4 players on the local console. Of course, I want to see more top quality games that capitalize on the new gen capabilities and WOW us with new gameplay and greater depth on all levels. The PS3 will pick up speed quickly, but MS (I think) is headed in the right direction... just need more diversity and top quality games -- "must have" games (there are very few of these so far).... And more games that use these new accessories.
