I was specifically talking about console gaming here. I don't play PC shooters so I don't know what they have or haven't done, and I don't mean to discredit anything that has already been done. Regardless, my question really wasn't "Has this been done before?"...my question was "why haven't more shooters started doing it?" I ask because I think they're good features that add a lot to the game.

As for community, Gears of War and Call of Duty have enough of a community that could justify these features. I think games like maybe Battlefield and Medal of Honor, Resistance or Killzone could consider it too. I say that more due to the fact that these are all supposed to be Top Tier shooters.

One question though, has there been a PC shooter that had a "save film" feature as advanced as Halo's? Because the save film, as opposed to matchmaking, was what I was referring to.

When Halo 3 came out, in 2007, they introduced the theater mode. Now in 2010, COD BO has finally added their rendition of it. So now I'll ask a very simple question. Just like how Halo 2 introduced matchmaking in 2004, to have COD pick it up in 2007....what took everyone else so long? The theater is one of the better community related features I've seen in a console shooter. Why wouldn't everyone else want to give it a try!?

When Gears of War 2 came out with Horde mode, within a year, Halo ODST had it, Uncharted 2 more or less go it, COD picked it up in the form of Zombies, and now EVEN RED DEAD essentially has it. So again, what took them so long with Halo?

[QUOTE="AbleFa3"]

My most enjoyed games this generation are Fable 2-3, Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect 1, Alan Wake, Demons Souls, Gears 1-2, Halo 3-Reach and only one is a PS3 game

Of course i am not seliing my PS3, even though i keep it mainly for Demons Souls and maybe Last Guardian later

LlFE

That was in the past. I am referring to the future and present.

I think that the guy that talked about his favorite games is making a relevant point. PART of the question that was posed was is it *NOW* a fact that PS3 is superior. He was saying that right NOW the 360 has more games that he likes. Yes, the PS3 has a considerably superior line up in the future, but that's only because Sony is behind. If they were in 2nd place, they wouldn't put as many games out. If M$ ends up in last, you can bet they'll step up their game, just like they did this year. They came out with Crackdown, Fable, Alan Wake, and Halo Reach (Crackdownwasn't that great and Fable isn't exclusive, I know).I'm of the opinion that every system will have something to offer. FOR ME, Gears of War 3 is more exciting than the PS3's line up. I'm excited about Uncharted 3, but if ONE exclusive is more exciting to you than any of the multitudes, then it doesn't really matter.

IMO Alan Wake has better graphics, voicework, and gameplay, but as people have said, may get a bit repetitive. Heavy Rain has more replay value though. In terms of story, I would say they're both verycomparable in quality.

In reality, these games really have no reason to be compared, but they're very much on the same level when it comes to how good they ultimately ended up being. I'd recommend checking Alan Wake out!

Has anyone else noticed that the TC said "SINGLE PLAYER"...I take that to mean RPGs that are not MMOs. I would have to agree though, because after KOTOR came a lot of the games that had moral choices in them. Now it's like every other game has them! :-P

With the countdown of days at the end of the game, it says I have 121 days left...I've been told that's the point of no return if I continue the story. My question is this, how big of a deal is it to have a lot of money saved up? I've been doing all of the "GOOD" choices. I'm shooting to have about 1 million gold in my treasury. I've been doing all of the "GOOD" choices.Am I going to regret not having more? Or can I do okay with that amount?

Halo Wars comes to mind for me. So does Fable 3 (I think mostly because it's recent). Any game that gets a 10 is a poorly reviewed game for me personally. PARTICULARLY GTA IV!

I personally agree with the majority of Gamespot's reviews, at least in terms of whether they are AAA, AA, A...though I may have the tendency to say a game deserves 9/0 rather than 9/5 or something like that. As for Fable 3, I haven't quite finished the game yet, but I think it is deserving of higher than what it got on Gamespot. I would currently give it an 8.0-8.5, not sure on my final score yet, I've definitely encountered a few bugs.

WOW! I just have to say I'm very pleasantly surprised by the comments about Halo Reach's graphics. I expected it to be mostly "Halo's graphics suck!" kind of comments. I personally think the game looks great (most of the time), but I also thought Halo 3 looked great, which many didn't agree with me. I love Halo's art style.

I think there were a few levels in multiplayer or campaign where I could see someone saying that they can't see a difference between Reach and Halo 3. It also has a few framerate drops. However, the game is absolutely stunning at times. The animations are terrific, the gun models are outstanding, and the explosions are great. The attention to detail is very strong in this game.

If I decided to play the first one, can anyone tell me about how many hours it might take without cheats?
