Regarding Portal 2, I absolutely agree that this game is an exception. Portal 2 was designed as a single player experience. It had a separate section designed as a multiplayer experience. Due to the puzzle solving nature of the game, two players playing the main game (that was designed for one person) would just be kind of awkward. Someone else mentioned Resident Evil 5. I never meant to imply that every game out there needs to have coop. I believe very strongly that some games should be single player only. However, I think that if you're going to do coop, do it in the form of FULL STORY, like RE 5 did.

I'm sure that some people don't mind it, and that's fine if that's the case. However, I'm glad I'm not alone in having that mindset. I recently played through Borderlands with my friend. I really enjoyed being able to spend that entire time playing with someone. I also played the Gears games and the Halo games with him as well. It's nice being able to sit down and play through, getting the full experience with a friend. I say that as opposed to playing 30 minutes here, or 15 minutes there.

I was reading IGN's preview of Rage, and what I got from it was that Rage will have segments of the single player (kind of like Call of Duty Spec Ops). It will not have full story coop? Am I understanding that correctly?

If I have that right I would like to say this, and I may be in the minority on this one, but I don't care for that idea. I think that if you're going to have coop, you should do it all the way, or not at all. A lot of the time, these segments "taken from the main game" tend to feel tacked on to me. I'm not saying that they can't be done well, but I just think it's disappointing whenever a game does that. Anyone else have any thoughts on the matter?

Thanks for answering, I appreciate it. I've also noticed that it only seems to do it with dvds. It doesn't seem to happen too often with games, and not at all with blu ray movies. With that in mind, what you guys said about the drive having to spin faster makes a lot of sense. So again, thanks.

I've had my PS3 slim forabout a year and a half now. I'm happy with it overall. However, recently it's been making a wierd noise. When I put in a disc, it makes a really annoying loud noise (it sounds like a fan). It only happens when I put in a disc, however, so I assume it's the disc drive. The other thing that's strange, is that it only lasts for about 10 seconds, then it stops. It's not that big of a deal, but I'm concerned. Is this a sign that my system is going to die soon? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I agree with a few that've been said. I like Borderlands, Conker, and Battlefront 3. However, I'd also like to see a sequel to Warhawk (I've heard rumors). I'd like to see a sequel to Eternal Darkness, and one to Crimson Skies. I'd also like to see Alan Wake 2.

One last one, Kameo 2!

Two things, first off, Alan Wake was a breath of fresh air, and was one of the better games of last year. I would agree with the review score it got, as I didn't think it lived up to my expectations. However, that by no means would make it a bad game. Secondly, if last year I couldn't make the claim that Mass Effect 2 was a console exclusive....then I'm certainly never going to let you make the claim that Killzone 3 is console graphics king. So yeah...you fail.

I liked Halo 3 and Oblivion. Oblivion gets so much hate, without any reason if you ask me.

Halo 3, I liked better than Halo Reach (I like Reach's gameplay better, but campaign and mulitplayer maps of 3 better).

I agree that Uncharted 2 is the best looking game on consoles. However, I think that using the terminology of "CONSOLE GRAPHICS KING" should be viewed the same way as "CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE". We shouldn't be able to have one but not the other.

My list is as follows though as far as console games go.

1. Uncharted 2

2. Killzone 2

3. Alan Wake

4. Mass Effect 2

5. Gears of War 2

Due to the amount of hate they get, I'm going to say Rare. There's constantly people hating on them. When Ensemble was closed I remember people saying things like "Close down Rare instead!" Rare this gen has put out Kameo (one of my favorite games this gen), PDZ (a competent shooter for the time), Viva Pinata/Trouble in Paradise (a really unique idea), Banjo Kazooie (a strange, but beautiful and fun game), and now Kinect Sports (haven't played it). I don't understand how a AAA game, four AAs, and one A games = crappy developer.
