Because all the Xbox 360 has is shooters dude!

Just subtract Kameo, Viva Pinata, Forza, Project Gotham, Banjo, and Fable. Then all the multiplatform games that're not shooters!

Firstly, I'm sorry if I put thistopic in the wrong place, it was kind of an impulsive question. Secondly, I'm not worried about the gameplay, as much as the story. Thanks for the answers, everyone! :)

I'm interested in playing Starcraft 2. What I want to know, is how important is it to have played the first game. Will I be able to follow what's happening, or should I go back and play the first one before. I don't particularly want to play the first game, and I've watched IGN's "Starcraft in 5 minutes", soI sort of get the idea.

I personally would argue that it is. I can't see how someone can say that any other FPS has a better multiplayer offering. Halo Reach (and 3) has 4 player co-op...which alone makes it superior to a lot of fps games IMO. The forge mode allows a lot of creativity and variety that other shooters dont. The theater is one of the more innovative things I've seen this generation in a shooter. The Halo games have a good set of weapons, both "realistic" (snipers, shotguns, assaultrifles, pistols)and more unique. Then there's all the stat-tracking that bungie.net has to offer. And lastly, in custom games, you can play Halo pretty much any way you want to (in terms of the amount of Health and shields you have)

In terms of gameplay, I would definitely agree that it comes down to an individualsopinion. I personally think it is the best in this regard to. That's largely due to the fact that I personally just like the style of the game, as opposed to being shot once in COD. That's just me though.

Campaign: Halo's campaigns are usually quite good. Even at their weakest, I would argue that they're on par with other shooters, and at their best, they're superior.

Sound: Each weapon sounds distinctive, and the voice acting gets the job done, more or less as well as other shooters. The music is some of the best in gaming (again, my opinion).

Graphics: This is the one aspect in which Halo SOMETIMES falls short). There are times where, to me, these games look amazing, due to their art direction. There are other times where I'm left unimpressed.

You all are welcome to disagree. I've just stated my opinion, and backed it up with reasons, without just saying "Halo is the best! COD SUCKS!"

So I was watching the video review for Alan Wake on Gametrailers.com, and I was listening to some of the music played in it. There was a particular piece that interested me, and it's not actually in the game. Could someone tell me what it is, where it originally came from?

here is the link

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-alan-wake/65249

the part I'm interested in is at about 5:15

For me it's Oblivion, followed by Mass Effect 2.

You can say whatever you want, I'll take paying for Xbox Live over the free PSN ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! I enjoy the superior service. PSN is good for being free, but it doesn't have a single game I'd ever even consider playing online (except warhawk)

So now we're going by screenshots, rather than playing the game? Goes to show that most of you have no clue what you're talking about.

I think Halo Reach looks better than Halo 3 from a technical standpoint (textures, animations, gun models, effects)...however, I think Halo 3 plays to Halo's visual strengths and artistic direction better. There were 2 levels in Reach's campaign that I thought were kind of ugly. Halo 3 had only one level that visually wasn't that impressive to me.

I'm guessing it has something to do with being on a different console. It may be that some of the information didn't transfer properly. That stuff is a pain. If you can't figure anything out, I'd try calling M$ and asking them for help with that.
