I think I'm gonna say Halo Wars for this one if we're talking about a game that was under reviewed. If we're talking about games that're bashed severely without reason, I'm gonna say TES IV: Oblivion.

I don't really care about what games are on what system so much. If it's an xbox 360/pc title, it doesn't hurt my enjoyment of the game. I play for the sake of enjoying games. That being said, I'm concerned for M$'s future line up in terms of exclusive games.
In 2011, they have Gears in April. They have Forza coming out, but being that it's using Kinect, I don't know how that will turn out. So my question is, what will they have from that point on. Halo, Fable, and Gears will all have been recently used. Rare seems to be focusing on Kinect at the moment (that's not to say they couldn't work on non-kinect titles in the future).
Any guesses on things we could see? I'm also thinking in terms of 2012. I feel like almost all 3rd party studios have gone multiplatform now.
I agree with you in some regards. However, for better or worse, multiplatform games often sell notably better on the xbox. As long as that's the case, M$ isn't really going to have that much need for exclusives. They can get by with releasing a few exclusives (usually at least one major, high quality) a year. The other problem is that when you look at M$'s list of exclusives, many of them didn't sell very well. Alan Wake, Banjo, Viva Pinata: TIP, Too Human, and Kameo all failed to sell 1 million copies. It's very unfortunate. I think that M$ just doesn't have any real need to put a lot of effort into exclusives. Their console is selling as well as the competition (give or take a little). MPs sell better, and the big games (Halo, Fable, and Gears) all sell better than most of Sony's.
I'm not defending them, I'm just saying that as long as things continue in this way, I don't see anything changing.
I think the point the TC was trying to make is that if a game is not exclusive, it's just simply dismissed. If I were to say my5 favorite games this generation are Mass Effect 2, Uncharted 2, Oblivion, Super Mario Galaxy, and Halo 3, all of you would say "ME2 and Oblivion aren't exclusive". It seems to be implied here on system wars that if agame isn't exclusive, that it isn't relevant. I do understand the value of exclusives, but Oblivion IMO is one of the best games I've ever played, and it's not exclusive, but that doesn't make it any less of a game.
I think that the good xbox live games, the Gears of Wars and the Halos will outlive Sony's games in terms of how long people will be playing them. Multiplats will more than likely have people playing them longer on the 360. I think that you do make a valid point about having to pay for xbox live. That does mean you have to make a little bit of extra effort to get started playing online...however, I don't really see what that has to do with longevity. It doesn't change the fact that 2 years from now I'll still play Halo Reach sometimes...Killzone 3, I'll be lucky to playing that 6 months after it comes out (not to say it won't be a great game). The thing sony has going for them though, is that you'll always have some new exclusive game to look forward to in the near future. M$ isn't as good at that.
I would have to say Halo. It has IMO a great campaign (at least as much fun as any others that were mentioned) with 4 player coop. It has the forge mode, which allows for a lot of variations on maps and gametypes. It has the save film, so you can relive your greatest Halo moments. Then it has the matchmaking, which most other games still haven't managed to get right.
I would say COD4 and Killzone 2 are the next two down!
Wind Waker: The Triforce Shards
Dragon Age: The Fade
Metal Gear Solid 3: The Ladder Boss (LOL)
Oblivion: Aid for Bruma (the oblivion gates) or the Vampire Cure Quest
Kingdom Hearts 2: The First 3 hours
Fallout 3: Navigating the DC ruins
If there's no such thing as a "Console Exclusive", then there's no such thing as "Console Graphics King".
Sorry, if Cows want to have stupid logic, then they have to stick to it.
I'm in agreement with most of you that this isa disappointment. However, I feel like in the last two years all I've heard is that "Rare is dead! Their games are all terrible! Banjo = trash!" That kind of thing, so where is all the sudden respect for their 360 games coming from? I personally loved Kameo, and i enjoyed Banjo and Viva Pinata, and even PDZ. Where was everyonewhen those hateposts were being thrown up!?
Seriously though, I do believe it is possible that maybe they're coming out with Kinect Sports this year, and that maybe next year they've got a core game in the pipeline. I refuse to believe that this was what they've been doing for the last two years. That they have nothing else that they're working on.
