It would be nice if a release date was officially announced but we have been messed around with GT5 - so I could easily yet another delay. I really do hope its worth the wait cos its been a long time waiting. Tekken 6 is a good example: lots of waiting, and then a bit of a let down. *sigh
I dont think they should be separate scores for single player and multilayer. In a way, trophies/achievements system gives 'list' things to do, so your reviews/scores should be based around that. If like me you plan to get all the trophies/achievements then SP/MP are just part of the 'life' game.
The only thing I didnt like with ModNation is that your mostly holding down the accelerator - if not all the time. Feels like you need no skills (which I know has its own advantages). Sometimes you need to press x although. The idea is good, but im surprised they got away with it. It looks so much like Mario kart, its ridiculous!
Will GT5 have a career mode? I loved that mode: racing, earning money and getting better at it. GT games also had a lot of detail in them allowing you to modify your car (gears, suppression etc), gears to all the smaller components which would improve your car. The music was good too! This for me made GT one of the best racing games ever.
Good, well designed manuals are useful. When I am struggling in a game, I go to the manual to find any hints / tips and also gives me something to read when I dont want to play. However when a company puts little or no effort into, then the manual is next to useless. So in answer to you question, no I dont care about bad manuals but good manuals are always welcomed.
