That BFV Xbox One X bundle is looking mighty tasty. That's a hell of a deal. I already own the game on PC and still might bite on this. Then I could play RDR2. Hmm..
Real reasons?? Why are we defending this nonsense from Rockstar?? They've been doing the same thing to PC gamers for a while now. Rockstar holds out on PC gamers because they know the massive hype their games have. Most people won't bother to wait. They'll purchase on current gen and then purchase it later on PC. I bought GTAV THREE times. Not doing that again.
There is no reason to do this other than to take advantage of gamers monetarily. I get it. They're a business in the business of making money but this is just totally unnecessary. They're games are still gonna sell millions of copies.
And it isn't because of man power. Rockstar has WAY more than enough funds to co-develop the PC version alongside the console versions. Having GTA as the most profitable video game of all time and all. If it were a manpower issue they could have hired another company to co-develop it. Plenty of other studios do this. Most notably Nixxes and Beenox. Point is there's no moral excuse. I don't expect PC gamers to form a crusade but I for one won't play into their BS again. I have a PS4 Pro. This is a choice.
I skipped out on RDR for the same reasons I'm gonna pass on RDR2; FPS drops below 30. Yea. I'm spoiled. That's what happens when you game at 144 Hz. A stable rock solid 30 is fine with me. Some of the best games I've ever played run at 30 FPS. My eyes can adjust. But drops below 30 are absolutely jarring and pull me out of the immersion.
If it never comes to PC then i just won't play it. I passed on RDR and I'm still alive lol.
PC is the best way to play. On my 55" running HDR 4k 60 FPS. Not buying this game multiple times like I did with GTAIV and GTAV. Rockstar can kiss my ass with those shady blackmail tactics. I would jump on the PS4 Pro version but any drops below 30 FPS are absolutely unacceptable. I know it doesn't bother most but it's absolutely jarring and pulls me out of the immersion and experience. I'll wait patiently. I got plenty to play in the meantime.
@javelin10: I call your argument baseless because CoD's campaigns have been garbage for a long time now. The entire franchise game us two maybe three great campaigns. But even at it's best, CoD campaign was no Half life 2. People have been complaining about the campaign for years. Glad it was replaced with something that has much more replay value.
@planetcanada: Probably alone on that one man. This game is fluid as shit. I'm on PC. No CoD game to this point has felt so good.
If I were to take a guess it sounds like input lag. That Samsung 8000 series has terrible input lag. I believe it's over 40ms. You should see if your TV model has a review in rtings.com they will tell you exactly what the input lag for you model is. For comparisons sake, my 1440p 144Hz gsync monitor has an input lag of 4.4 ms.
@javelin10: Remove 6-10 hour single player that hasn't been good since BO2, add Battle Royal mode which can potentially net you hundreds of hours of gameplay instead.
I call that a win and I call your argument baseless. If this game had single player you'd still be bitching about it somehow. Hop off the hate wagon.
@ssdd_again: You should really try out the game before passing judgement. Your stance was valid up until this game. If getting rid of single player means putting this game on track back to it's glory then I won't miss it. It truly is the best CoD since BO2. And I've hated every single one since then.
