Another behemoth of a game from Nintendo is going to be released later this month. Mario Kart Wii is coming out and it features a plethora of multi-player options :D
Why get it? Ill tell you why, Mario Kart Wii will be THE best Mario Kart game in the series...
Gameplay
Unlike the Mario Kart on the GC, this one will feature single racer karts. Taking the gameplay back to its early predecessor on the N64. It will support 4 unique control schemes, The Wii Remote and Nunchuk, ****c Controller, GC Controller and what I believe the coolest is...
THE WII WHEEL!
![](http://i.usatoday.net/tech/_photos/2007/07/13/wheelx.jpg)
The Wii Wheel is basically the Wii remote tilted sideways inside a casing. Nintendo has worked extensively hard on this to make it the best it can. Over 30 prototypes had to be made to get to the final product and best of all it will be bundled with the game :D
This game has been announced as supporting the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. This will feature online racing and battle modes, both of which can go up to 12 players. It has also been confirmed that there will be online leagues, with international and local rankings. This will take place from within an entirely separate Wii Channel, named the Mario Kart Wii Channel. This channel will also feature the option of sending saved time-trial ghost data. Another online feature is text chat but it seems it will be pre-written text =_= Dont forget Local Multi player as well :D
Many of the items and weapons of previous Mario Kart games will also be included in the game.Even better, motorcycles were added. Players can either choose to use a motorcycle or a kart. If you saw some videos, many players use motor-cycles and karts at the same time ^_^
Heres the trailer which explains gameplay :D

Nintendo has said that each character will have multiple karts. Motor-cycles are also included in the game and they can do wheelies 8)
Each character has 3 motor-cycles and 3 karts and stunts will be essential to gain boosts for your vehicle. There are also series starting from 50cc (karts only), 100cc (Moto/Karts), 150cc (Moto/Karts).
Tracks

Mario Kart Wii has been confirmed to have at least 32 tracks. 16 of them will be entirely new (for example, Wario's Gold Mine), while the other 16 are remakes of older tracks (such as N64 Sherbet Land) from earlier Mario Kart games (Let the nostalgia kick in). According to an IGN "hands-on" session, 8 new tracks and 8 old tracks are available at the start of the game, and the others need to be unlocked.
