@barrybarryk there is a difference in a paid internship, and an unpaid internship. This gentleman, by the name of Jarvis, accepted an unpaid internship. You shouldn't be paid for something that you knowingly agree to as unpaid. Internships, or externships, help the college student either land a job at that particular site, or another job site.
Most company's are looking for that internship/externship experience. And it is not against the law to have unpaid internships/externships. I mean, volunteers work longer hours, and do harder work, in a lot of cases vs. interns. And were is the gripe for, or from them? The entire purpose of an internship/externship, is work related experience so that you can get a job, and really get paid.
@komuchen yeah, that's what i am saying, it's gonna be a different process now, and tougher for some. Cause they don't want a repeat of this guy coming through their doors.
What's gonna end up happening, is that this will probably effect future internship rules. It may be tougher for other's now, because of the ignorance, and mistake of a misguided money grubber. Some one, some where, some how, has to always mess it up for everyone else that is actually trying to be honest, and sincere.
Unpaid internship. You knew it was an unpaid internship, before you accepted it. Then you griped about receiving money, for something you knew was an unpaid internship. Wow! What is really sad, is that this internship may have opened the door for him to work at sony as a designer, or any other big development studio.
Now he has labeled himself. And many aren't gonna wanna touch him. Shame that we often times throw away great opportunity, for a few dollars. In his case, a few dollars may end up costing him millions.
@SoulScribe well that all depends on where the cosplay event takes place, as far as country, and age demographic. You could go as naked raiden, they do make human anatomy body suits, and all one would have to do is tape the hands of the body suit, or place a set of gloves over the private areas. Or you could purchase a flesh colored body suit to match your skin tone, not wear the head covering, buy a cheap blonde wig, and voila! Naked Raiden!
@Eldeorn You may be onto something. I have noticed that it has always been those who have a secret fondness of something to point the finger so quickly at others. The guilty, speak more loudly.
there will be a costume that puts the new dead rising 3 character in a banana hammock, and you can run around and kill zombies in it! And no one seems to be in an uproar about that, so why this? And besides, Kojima said character's, he never specified male or female. Remember naked raiden from MGS2? Could be more of the same. I guess some people just need something to complain about to make themselves feel validated.
@Badw0lf1993 Good catch! I guess many forget naked raiden in MGS2. I think the reactions show more of the mentality of the audience and responders, than of Kojima and his statement.
