I wouldn't trust any scores coming from the big sites. In fact I don't even know the last time I ever cared about the score itself anyways. For me all it takes to get me to buy a game is price, and what I learn about the game (stuff on the developer website, or a gameplay video, or something). I practically never read articles about games on places like IGN, Gametrailers, or even Gamespot. For me I like Giantbomb's quicklooks, and Yahtzee's videos are pretty entertaining, but of course these places don't cover half the games I play. I have never been burned on buying a game sticking to this process whereas it seems tons of people who cling to reviews have because a game fails to meet hype, or something. I'll never be naive enough to think that my opinions should ever match those of anyone else. A 9 on IGN NEVER guarantees it'll be a 9 to me. Honestly if a game looks interesting to you, and appeals to you in some way then the chances of it being fun for you to play are incredibly high. I don't get why someone would think that a game like Gears of War 3, or Uncharted 3 would be fun just because they score high reviews even if those games don't appeal to them at all.

Yeah This is why Yahtzee is my go-to guy for reviews. I wouldn't dare trust the likes of places like IGN or Gametrailers for insight on the quality of a game. If I trusted Yahtzee then I probably be too busy not playing game to have fun... You'd be too busy not playing games? His reviews don't last THAT long.
In my opinion used game sales solely for the reason that people are actually giving a value to the game, and show they would spend money on it, but their money doesn't go to the developers.
I miss Warcraft 2 I just wasn't really feeling Warcraft 3 when that came out, and World of Warcraft basically killed all hope of Warcraft 4. I wonder how much I'd like Warcraft 3 if I gave it another chance. I mean it's been nine or so years since I originally played it.
Only the entertaining ones like Destructoid that actually offer an opinion and not some "professional critique." *If* I read a review, I want to know what is in the game and how much the reviewer enjoyed it. Not how much they think it adds to the genre, or compares to other games. I also want to laugh and not have things spoiled (story synopses are entirely unnecessary).foxhound_fox

MS would have Rare making games like they used to if people bought them. It's just unfortunate that so many "gamers" turned their back on Rare despite them making some of the highest quality titles this gen. Everyone's always complaining about the lack of color, creativity, and ambition, and yet there Rare was loading everyone's plate up with games like Viva Pinata, Kameo, and Nuts & Bolts. And what do those people do? They throw it back at Rare, and tell them it's crap without even trying it. Such is the taste of gamers today. They don't WANT Rare games anymore. They want big-budget action movies in game form. That's why Rare is where they are. It has nothing to do with MS.

What people want from Rare is Killer Instinct 3. They need to make that s**t happen.
They can all die out afterwards for all I care, or stick to making Kinect shovelware. Hell, maybe Nintendo should buy them back so they can start making good games again. MS broke their spirit or something... :P
MS didn't do anything. The team began falling apart over a decade ago before MS acquired them (when they were under Nintendo's rule)
Yeah I've seen that, I thought it was a weird name coincidence too.
Of course it won't happen. These guys don't even think about DLC, and I doubt the amount of people who would buy it on PC would justify the decision.
Honestly, who doesn't own a console these days? I have to pity someone who has a $1500 gaming PC, but doesn't have a $200 Xbox or PS3 for the insane amount of amazing console exclusives out there.
Plus the company doesn't have the best PC experience, so if Id software can screw up on PC, these guys might make Saints Row 2 and GTA IV's PC ports look like gold.
