Gamespot will say Crysis. My favorite is The Wicther, which should win PC RPG of the year. There were no other decent PC RPGs out this year otherwise.

Fire up the gas chambers! It's time to get rid of all of these commie-pinko-terrorist-liberal-hippie-treehugging-peacemongers! War is peace, slavery is freedom!

I would say Oblivion is your best bet, its not final fantasy style, but believe me, you'll love oblivion and it has up to 200 hours of playing :DOcTAByo
He asked for a good RPG. I agree that it's a good time sink, if you can tolerate it.
Try these:
The Witcher
Planescape: Torment
Baldur's Gate 1/2
Deus Ex (hybrid)
Vampire: Bloodlines
Fallout 1/2
Gothic 1/2
Arcanum (buggy, not bad otherwise)
NWN (ok, not great)
KotOR (easy, more of an adventure game, but good story/characters)There are 3 separate endings and a number of different ways to achieve each one. The game is relatively easy from a combat standpoint, so maximizing everything isn't an issue, especially since you gain stat points when you level up and there are many opportunities to receive stat increases through the course of the game. I recommend pumping up your wisdom score whenever possible as it will open up more interesting dialogue, memories, bonuses, and strongly influence party members and the endgame.
EA didn't make it, Crytek did, and something tells me EA made them cut out half the game to keep as a sequel. The ending was worse than Bioshock. couly
You're probably right. The end parts just feel rushed and hacked up. I'm sure EA was involved.
wat r u talking about. that was quoted strait from my colum in the new york times. you never heard of "the godless commies." you must be a brit. their all haf commie anyway.[QUOTE="Srinivassa"][QUOTE="Jinroh_basic"]lol...i hope you have fun with the game, mate, coz apparently politics and history aren't your strongest suit. onemic
He's actually correct. Russia's communism wasn't true communism. It was totalitarianism.
You missed his point entirely.
If you've played and liked any one or more of these games - Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, Fallout, Neverwinter Nights, KotOR, Gothic, or Vampire: Bloodlines, then you'll like this game a lot.
