I don't mind it not being a simulation but I don't want some gimmicky arcade crap either. I played Motorstorm on the PS3 and hated it so I have my doubts about this.
@streetz_86 No idea yet, they haven't announced the payment model. I am going to guess at a subscription fee, which is fine 'if' they game is really good.
I hate the free to play cash shop crap that's becoming common these days, chest that drop in the game but 'oh look you need to buy a key from the cash shop' to open it. Also some of the best looking armour or weapon models always appear in the cash shops and can't be acquired by actually 'playing' the game. We'll see though, its either going to be a sub or buy to play. Hopefully a sub.
@breathnac They were also building the engine to allow 200+ players on screen at one time for their pvp faction gameplay. So naturally the detail of the character models is going to drop. Personally I'd prefer better looking models, I don't give a rats backside about the 'zerg' style castle siege 150 players hitting a wooden door for 15 minutes crap.
@KamuiFei @vfibsux @dussan2 Actually they do, Todd Howard has a say in what happens, trust me on that. You really think that Bethesda Game Studios have nothing to do with anything in ESO? A lot of the art assets are directly imported to the MMO. The Giants in Skyrim for example are exactly the same in the MMO.
