@crimsonllama: I absolutely agree. Encumbrance is a player self control problem NOT a game design problem. I thought Bethesda were more helpful towards encrumbrance in Fallout 4 than any of their other games before it. Yet ... tears, tantrums and entitlements prevail.

@dannyodwyer: Fair enough Danny, don't get my clown statement wrong there is nothing wrong with the production and delivery of your articles or shows, they're highly entertaining hence why I and I would imagine many others have always enjoyed watching them but I just disagreed with your praise of The Witcher and dismissal of Fallout. I've also played them both for 100+ hours and Fallout offers a lot of help with encumbrance (much more so than any other Bethesda game before it and I personally believe more than The Witcher does) yet that wasn't even mentioned. Fallout failed on both counts was your line from memory and I think that's a pretty unfair comment.

You're right, I do enjoy crafting and I thoroughly enjoy the settlement feature, it adds a huge amount of depth to the game but I appreciate its not for everyone. To counter that though, crafting, gathering or settlements are not at all a necessity to enjoy, complete and play Fallout 4. I believe Todd Howard mentioned at E3 that the 'junk' would have meaning, it was an intentional design choice and one that I thought was a great feature of the game. I think player hoarding and the subsequent encumbrance issues are more player related than the game design, as its not at all required.

I'll continue to watch your shows and I promise to not call you a clown anymore, we'll just agree to disagree on this topic :)

@sebbysebbseb: Failing to point out what is obvious to gamers that have played both games makes you a clown no matter who you think you are supposed to be. Considering he is a gaming journalist I feel pretty comfortable with that feedback.

@dribblesbarbax: lol I stopped playing The Witcher 3 because there was too much crap everywhere that was utterly pointless. I liked that Fallout 4 made it worthwhile to actually pick something up.

@Marsh87: Lack of game knowledge from someone that supposedly makes a living from being a game journalist is pretty embarrassing.

@ahpuck: So why did you pick it up in the first place?

Nice fanboy comments on The Witcher 3 from this clown, what a load of rubbish. Players in Fallout 4 don't know what is worth picking up or leaving but in The Witcher the player suddenly does know what to leave? The reason you leave a lot of stuff behind in The Witcher 3 is because it isn't even worth picking up in the first place. Crafting and gathering in W3 is absolutely pointless. The encumbrance benefits of a saddle in mid game make The Witcher 3 great but the 'many' perks (and companions) that you can get to help with encumbrance in Fallout 4 isn't mentioned?

@hampton2003: So try choosing the perks that allow massive amounts of encumbrance benefits to the game rather than having a little cry about it? This Danny clown fails to point out that Fallout 4 employs every benefit that The Witcher 3 (apparently) has to encumbrance via perks. As long as you can read and comprehend the perks descriptions it's pretty easy. The Witcher 3 also benefits by having crafting and gathering being absolutely and utterly useless, I guess Fallout 4 fails because their crafting and gathering has some meaning to the game.
