Aweomse Long Wekeend

The long weekend comes to an end! It was a pretty fun weekend! I got to spend time with my family and friends. I got to watch a couple of really good movies and a couple of not so good ones as well. The long weekend all started with my friend coming home from the City of Angels. After a long day of work, we got together and we went to go see Wanted. It might be because I'm a guy, but I really liked Wanted. It was full of ludicrous actions scenes. If you've seen this movie, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, well then you'd have to see it to understand what I'm talking about. Oh how I love Angelina's bad ass characters lol...and Mr. McAvoy is pretty bad ass as well. I really liked his character in the movie. The final quote of the movie kinda makes me think about my day as a whole every time I go to sleep since I saw the movie lol...Wanted is awesome! The 4th was pretty fun too...I was supposed to go to a family bbq and then I was going to go chill with my friends. My parents decided to allow me to miss the family bbq, so I got to spend the 4th with my friends. We got together in a much unplanned day lol, and decided to go swimming and have a bbq of our own at my friend grandparents' house. I got to my friend grandparents' and I learned that we really didn't have much of a plan. We went grocery shopping for our bbq. We went swimming. We went to see fireworks at the park. The fireworks rocked!! HorseyJesse picked a pretty awesome spot where we saw a pretty awesome show. We topped off the night by playing some Cranium. On Sat, I went to the mall with a few friends...I needed to go shopping for clothes for work and I wanted to get myself a Dark Night T-shirt and my buddy HorseyJesse needed to do some shopping of her own as well. I was bad!!! I was supposed to get one T-shirt, but I couldn't decide whether I liked the Joker or Batman's design better. I bought both shirts lol...they're pretty awesome and they increase my excitement about the movie! I'm literally counting down until July 18th!! After our shopping was done, we went to see Get Smart. It was funny!! I like Steve Carell. Masi Oka is just funny to look at lol...he's great! And I have a new found crush on Anne Hathaway!! Today was pretty fun as well, church was cool. I went to my aunt's since I missed the 4th bbq and it was fun to hang out with the family. My cousin got Weezer's Red Album and the album is freaking awesome!! Now time to get ready for another week of work!

I Finally Found It: Caballeros Del Zodiaco a.k.a Saint Seiya

I finally found the DvD set for this animee series. I had been telling my awesome friend HorseyJesse that I used to watch it when I was much younger and back in my native country of El Salvador. When I was trying to describe it to her I really couldn't do it. All the recolection of the series I have is in spanish lol (reason why I included the title in Spanish). The series is called "Caballeros del Zodiaco" translated to "Knights of the Zodiac." The series is also known as "Saint Seiya." It is a very old animee series: the first episode aired in Japan in 1986 (I wasn't even born lol). The story follows five mystical warriors called the "Saints" or "Knights" who have adopted various constellations as their guardian symbols. Seven years before the events at the focus of the series, one hundred orphans from Japan are sent to different parts of the world to become legendary warriors known as "Saints". These warriors are under the protection of a constellation, and they can draw power from the stars to realize amazing feats. The story focuses on one of these orphans called Seiya. He is sent to the Sanctuary in Greece to become the Pegasus saint. After seven years Seiya becomes the Pegasus saint and returns to Japan to find his older sister. Because his sister disappeared the same day Seiya went to the Sanctuary, Saori Kido, the granddaughter of the person who sent all orphans to train, makes a deal with him to go to fight in a tournament called the Galaxian Wars where the orphans who survived and became bronze saints must fight to win the most powerful cloth: The Sagittarius gold cloth. If Seiya goes to compete there, Saori would start a search to find the sister of Seiya.

I will porobably get the DvD set soon, since I used to love it as a kid. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to catch things I didn't before. I'm looking forward to getting the DvD set!!

Has anyone ever seen this animee series before?? If so, does anyone still like it?? Does it sound interesting??

This Made My Day Brighter!

Dark Knight Console

I really wish I could get my hands on one!

I was having a pretty emotionally conflicting day (for reasons that would not be interesting for the gamespot community), but this totally made me feel better lol...I can't wait for the movie to come out!!

Is It Bad???

Ok, so tonight one of my friend's is having poker night for the first time in a very long time (we used to have it quite often). I agreed to go, although honestly right now I'm kinda wishing I didn't lol (that's bad huh??). I'd rather go and keep playing the "B" Company game lol. I would feel really bad if I were not to show because of that though. I know what the right thing to do is, but I just felt like sharing with the gamespot community, becuase I figure you would understand! I'm pretty sure I'll have more time to keep playing the game. It'll be fun to play some Texas Hold'em with the boys! The "B" Company can wait...

It's The "B" Company's Fault That I'm Not Sleeping!

Ok,ok, perhaps it is not the "B" Company's fault but my own lol. I'm super dooper addicted to this game! I'm very satisfied with it so far. This is not meant to be a full review of the game, but just a quick thought of the game after playing it one night. The game is tons of fun if you like blowing stuff up! The cut scenes are hilarious and the game play is pretty cool (I like the different options you have!). The only thing that I though was kinda iffy was the graphics: hey appear a bit grainy. I was able to get over that once I started blowing things up! lol...this game is pretty awesome!

I'm excited for the "B-Company!"

I was supposed to get my pre-ordered copy of Battlefield: Bad Company today, but it appears that it doesn't actually hit the shelves until tomorrow. See, I got a message from Gamestop on Sunday saying that my copy had arrived and that it was ready for pick up today. I was about to go after work; I decided to call just to see what time they closed. When I called the dude told me that the message had been sent on error. They did received the game, but they couldn't legally sell it until tomorrow. So I am very excited about getting it tomorrow! The game looks like is going to be tons of fun!! I'm so excited that I'm worried I may be setting myself for disappointment. Hopefully it does meet my expectations! The online demo was fun to play, so I expect more fun from the actual game. I guess I'll just have to wait and see!!

Any one else pre-oredered it?? Any one planning on buying/renting/borrowing it at some point??

Wii In The Work Place!

I recently got a new job. As a matter of fact, I'm posting this as I am at work (perhaps I shouldn't be doing this lol). I'm doing some training so I have down time (which I will mostlikely not have once I'm done with my training) so I decided to post what I think is the coolest thing about my new job: a Nintendo Wii in the break room!! It's pretty cool because we can play during our breaks and our lunch time! I thought it was funny that we have one. It does make lunches and breaks go by fast!:D

RRoD Update...I Heart My Favorite Person In The World!

As some of you have already read in my last blog, I was recently a victim of the RRoD.

I got my X360 from one of the most popular retailers in the US: Best Buy. I took my X360 to get it replace. The replacement was going smoothly at the beginning, until there were some system problems and some bad customer service. I had purchased a 2 year replacement guarantee for $60.00. For some reason the system was showing that I did not purchase the gurantee, yet it was charged on my receipt. I had to talk to a customer service manager becuase the customer service rep who was helping me had not clue what was going on. The manager was more helpful, and she even suggested that I should upgrade to an Elite (my previous purchased was a Pro). The only thing I had to do was to pay the difference. I told her that I felt that it was unfair to the customer (in this case me) to have to go through all this trouble to get a malfunctioning product replaced. I asked her if she could upgrade me to the Elite at no cost to me in order to compensate for the horrible customer service. At first, she did not agree at all. I kept insisting that this was the worst treatment I had received from a retailer and that I was ready to write a letter to their corporate office. Once I said that she decided to upgrade me to the Elite at no cost to me! I was very happy and really satisfied (I was not longer going to write the letter). So I got my old malfunctioning Pro replaced for an Elite.

Well the story doesn't end there (unfortunately). I had all my saved games in my old hdd. I asked them if there was a way for them to transfer all my data to the new hdd. They said NO. They even offered to sell me a tranfer kit (which I believe you can get it for free from MS). Since I was already furstrated with them, I did not feel like arguing any longer (in addition they had alredy upgraded me to an Elite at no cost to me). I talked to my favorite person in the world, HorseyJesse to tell her my ordeal. After telling her the story, she asked me if I had kept my old hdd (which I did not). She offered to help me to recover my data if I got a hold of my old hdd. I called Best Buy to see if I could have it back just to recover my data. Luckly they still have it in the store, so I was able to get a hold of it. They wanted some colateral in order for me access it. At first they wanted me to bring the whole X360 Elite. I thought that was rediculous and very inconvinient for me. HorseyJesse thought likewise. At the end I just took my new hdd and had them keep it until I recovered my data. The customer service rep made a big fuz about it, becuse he tought that I wanted to keep both hdd (when what I wanted was only my data). They even warned me that if I didn't return it in time (by 9:00 pm) they were going to send the old X360 with the new hdd, once again I thought that was rediculos!

This is where my favorite person in the world comes into place. Let me tell you that I really heart my favorite person in the world because she helped me out greatly to get my old data back. At first it seemed that it was going to be a very simple process. There were a few games that gave us a small problem from moving them from the hdd to the mu, at the end we were able to figure it out. Some datat we had to have the actual game and others we didn't. At the end all the data was recovered. I want to publicly aknowledge that I'm extremely lucky to have such an amazing friend like HorseyJesse. She's one of the most wonderful people I've ever met in my life. She's 100% made of awesome!! I'm so grateful to have the priviledge to be called her friend. I can't thank her enough to have spent the time recovering my data. It might seemed like a minute thing, but it really meant a lot to me. She means a lot to me. I'm pretty sure one day she will make a dude very lucky and I will be very jealous(in a good way) of that lucky dude. I defenitely heart her, she's so awesome!!! :) I really want you to know that I really appriciate you! You Rock!!

I hope that no one has to deal with poor customer service next time you have to deal with a popular retailer!

I'm extremely mad!! I was a victim...

...of the infamous RRoD!! I was about to play right now when I got it:cry:...so I'm gonna take it back and hopefully I can get it fixed/replaced right away!

Any one have any ideas why a brand new X360 would get it so soon (is not even a month old)???

My First Pre-Order (It Pay Off To Reorganize My Room)

Today I went out with my family to celebrate Father's day. We took my pops out and it was a success!

I woke up early to get everyting ready. I had some time to spare and I decided to reorganize my room. While I was moving some stuff around I came to find two gift cards to GameSpot ($30 and $40.) I had forgotten about them since I had lost them. After we were done with all the Father's day activities, I decided to go to GameSpot to use the gift cards. I had no plan to buy anything and I was going to make one of those on the spot decisions. While I was in the store I was watching some GameSpot T.V. (I guess is a instore show) and I saw the previews for Battlefield: Bad Company. I was so drawn to it for some reason. I had already seen a preview for it, but this was more detailed. The game looks like it could be really fun. I was talking to one of the dudes that works there and he told me that if I like COD4, then I was gonna like this game (He might just have been trying to sell it to me). I had never pre-order anyting before, so I wasn't planning on pre-ordering it. I decided to use my gift cards and I got Dragon Ball Z:Burst Limit (I've been wanting the game since I saw it announced lol). When I was checking the game out, the dude told me that I had a free pre-order since I bought a new game (usually you have to pay $5.00). I went ahead and decided to pre-order Battlefield: Bad Company. I didn't have to put anyting down and I'm gonna trade in one of the games I never play and I'm getting a 10% discount on it (reasons why I decided to pre-order it). I feel I'm getting a deal lol.

What do you think? How would you rate my first pre-order? What do you think about the game(s)?
