From your description, I don't think "thats normal". Mine generally accepts discs; blu-rays, games, standard dvd from the middle and rotates at a direction while the PS3 is receiving/taking it.
Admire the Kojima Productions team for their dediction on delivering such a fine game; Metal Gear Solid 4. Disgusted by Uncharted. Simply didn't like it. Mainly due to the cartoonish feel, and that they're going to bring multiplayer for the sequel.
Is anyone els sick of the insanely good shotguns in killzone 2? I mean these things can kill you from impossible lengthes without a headshot. Iv been killed easily from more then 7 feet away with full health. Do you think they will patch it so theyre not as powerfull?

The longer you play, the more you will find it ineffective in terms of overall. Overall, shotguns are not simply the most pain in the, you know. You need to consider annoying, persistant bombardments of grenades, rocklaunchers, grenade launchers and torrets.
They might actually be working on one without telling us. During E3 they released a tech demo on FFVII. They're currently short on man power to progress on the FFVII project due to the Fabula project that consists of versus, XIII and Agito which requires most of the people in SE. After Fabula is done, no doubt they'll secretly work on FVII remake as they know fans want it.
Should keep to the topic at hand, having an offchat may get slight moderation. Anyways my conclusion for this Eidos game is, I most likely won't be getting it.

I do hope the game Eidos made isn't another spinoff of Kane and Lynch. Lady Gaga's pretty catchy and very popular down here in Australia. What happenned to the older avatar you had? the girl with a black suit, red hair and glasses?
