Black & White 1 also has multiplayer which Black & White 2 lacks, but I doubt many people play it online anymore. That may be a consideration if you have like-minded friends.

You might like to know that a lot of these classics can still be played online with GameRanger, a multiplayer online gaming service supporting over 500 games (including most from Zone), that was released for PC a couple of months ago. (Although it has been the standard online gaming service on the Mac since 1999). Of those mentioned: Age of Empires (Ze_Common_Cold & The_Capitalist) Age of Empires II (Jade_Monkey & kruesader & zero9167) Aliens vs Predator 2 (REforever101) Call of Duty (skittlesman & purple_MAN1832) Call of Duty 2 (5abr07h) Ghost Recon (KwasiAsiedu) Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (DarKre & dos4gw82 & DGFreak) Homeworld (Wasdie) QuakeWorld (Velocitas8 & kozzy1234) Quake II (thanatose) Starsiege Tribes (IronLungX & nutcrackr) In most cases, they are actually easier to play online than they were then because GameRanger handles your router network issues for you (although depending how far back you go, in some cases NAT and router issues weren't common way way back).
