If that is an in-engine, real-time cutscene running on the 3DS, I think it is safe to say the 3DS is far more powerful than we've first realized: the visuals are essentially current-generation console quality, only rendered at 400x240 (800x240 in 3DMode) resolution, so the graphics power in such a tiny handheld is certainly a monster package.BrainhunterIts really clear thats its in-engine.You can tell by the low poly count in some scenes along with some of the low quality textures.But yeah its pretty sick that the game looks this good and the game along with the 3DS is many months from releasing.

Both NV and ATI has thier "Geforce FX" moments e.g. 2900XT(R600) doesn't have full MSAA hardware i.e. emulated via shaders. 2900XT quickly replaced by Radeon HD 3870 e.g. ATI killed 2900's ringbus design, added hardware MSAA. The person who architected 2900XT's ringbus is now at Intel Larrabee.
ATI Radeon HD 4870(RV770) has 956 million transistors while Radeon HD 4670(RV730) has 514 million transistors. We all know, RV770 kills RV730 in performance. ATI Radeon HD 4870 has 2.5 Megabyte register data storage. Register data storage is fastest known data storage technologyi.e. faster then cache or CELL's local memory.

Yeah lol, I tend to copy and paste my posts between here, NWR, and N-sider. I love the discussions over there but sometimes I have to wait for hours for new posts in threads given how much smaller the sites are compared to Gamespot.

i think that the 3ds will have better tech (gaming wise - gpu etc.) than any of the apple products because as i said before it is going to be a dedicated gaming device, and as for the ipad it is basically an oversized ipod thouch with pretty much the same tech apple just likes to charge absolutly mad prices to get technophobes to think it is a piece of alien technology :)

haha exactly.Yeah Nintendo could put something better in if they wanted to and still stay profitable.I read once that Apple makes something like 50 percent profit off of their devices.Thats insane.So Nintendo could put something like a snapdragon type cpu or a Cortex A9 along with say a PowerVR SGX 543 and still come out on top.And battery life shouldn't be an issue aslong as they go with a large enough battery.So yeah there shouldn't be a reason that the 3DS won't have this unless Nintendo is really that stupid and greedy.And I'm not going to say they aren't:lol:

One thing that I do wonder though is how exactly is Nintendo going to show the 3DS off at its conference? Screenshots and videos on a projector aren't going to be able to show off the 3d affect in the games and I'm sure thats something Nintendo will want to show off. Could they possibly hand out prototype systems to all in attendance so everyone can see direct footage themselves? Could they possibly project videos in 3d on a large display using the same tech in theaters requiring everyone in attendance to don glasses but expressing that the system itself will yield the same results without them? Whats going to suck is that we won't really get a look at the 3d aspects of the system until they are on display at Gamestop and Bestbuy. We are going to have to rely on word of mouth and previews from journalists for a few months
In the end, I think that'll work out well for Nintendo as word of mouth tends to spread alot faster than still images on the internet. Also, word of mouth is prone to exageration which will just build up hype for the 3DS's eventual release.
