Man, i was really hoping for a NYC map, with simulated traffic, buildings you could hide in etc.... guess I will have to wait for BF4

[QUOTE="emgesp"] Battlefield 3 on the PC while superior looking doesn't look like a next-gen game when compared to the PS3 version.
Even this guy admits the difference isn't night and day.

You were right about there not being a huge difference between 60 fps and 120. But, saying BF3 on pc isn't leaps ahead of the console version, is pretty laughable. Anyone that has played it on PC can see the massive difference. Feel free to find some legitimate shots of BF3 on 360, or ps3, and I will post my best shots on PC.
But honestly even that video shows a huge difference just look at this screen cap below. Notice the detail difference on the wall, the ground, everything has a lower texture resolution, the lens flare seems to be gone on the console version, and the lighting seems to be different. Now here is the funny thing, the screencap below is comparing the 360 version and the PC version on low(which seems to have no AA), and you already see a huge difference. But I will go get a shot of the same area on Ultra if you want to see an much bigger difference.
I have BF3 on 360 and PC, the difference is bigger in person, 360 version is all blurry in comparison and has lots of lower detail, it really doesn't come close to the PC version in all it's glory.
Agreed. Their is a generation difference between the console version and the pc version. BF3 is probably the best looking game to date on PC(SP only), some parts further into the game look photorealistic at times.

I just got the game and only a handfull of servers that are full. I only have the base game, is it dead?

Tons play, it's just the search engine is terrible.
This.
What about the other points that have been disputed? and ofcourse hiensight of every generation where PC trumphs consoles 6 months later? Battlefield 3 on the PC while superior looking doesn't look like a next-gen game when compared to the PS3 version.[QUOTE="MBirdy88"][QUOTE="emgesp"] Going from 1080p to 2560p is not as noticeable as going from sub-HD found on some console games to native 1080p.

Well... there's no denying it's more CoD-like than the original Crysis. If anything, I'd actually say it's becoming more Halo-like. (In some ways)
In NO WAY it looks like COD, COD = 4 Hour Movie filled with Cutscenes + Repetitive gameplay, Small play area. Crysis 3 (Judging from gameplays) = 5 Hour Campaign with LOTS AND LOTS of replayability, Big sandbox world. It's not going to be 5 hours, remember when Crysis 2 came out, there were early reviews, that said it was 6 hours, and I spent 15 on C2.
Here is an official statement from Crytek : That may vary a lot. The game has been tested by a lot of different people. Everyone used the powers of the nanosuit in a different manner. The average play-through time is about 7 to 8 hours. If you approach more cautiously, use more cloak obviously you will need more than 8 hours.

They released a new trailer in December, but I haven't heard anything since then. It was supposed to come out in March, but I guess it's been delayed..again.

Ahhhh you're that dude on Crydev :P I remember interacting with you on the realness thread and seen you post a lot thereferret-gamer
Haha yeah. By the way, any idea what's wrong with my signature ? I did have this picture on it, which linked to the Crydev thread for the game I am making, but it is no longer there.
Right, but any idea why it's like that ? It should be 550x272
EDIT - fixed, nevermind

He is correct, I am a longtime member and developer at Crydev, and Nanosuit ninja said that he was playing it in realtime on this thread - http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=88335&start=4575

Episodes 1-5 of the 7 Wonders series were recorded in the editor in slow-motion to prevent tearing. The player is familiar with the level and the slow motion obviously helped his reactions. Episode 6 is played by NanosuitNinja in real time. Of course the beginning and ending parts are scripted, that's why Albert Hughes was brought on board! It's all done in-engine anyway.
We shouldn't start a witch hunt now that Gearbox were caught lying again.
Crysis 3 comes out in a week, you actually think they're using fake demos now?
