While most people act like Crytek doesn't have any credibility any more, I have to disagree on one point. Crytek said that Crysis 3 would be pc centered, and would push pc. They definitely delivered in this area. On a maxed out pc, the game's visuals are unbelievable.

With that said, I feel like Crytek missed the mark in other area's. The game's length was decent, but it felt incomplete. The first half of the game was great. But from the massive dune buggy level on, it seemed like Crytek lost their footing, the 6th level was great though, so it wasn't all bad.

Anyways though, the pc will start ahead of consoles this gen, and from there it will continue to get better. So what he is saying is right. Still, Crytek talks to much for their own good.

There is nothing special about GDDR5. It is used for graphics cards. For example, the Nvidia Titan has 6 gb's of GDDR5. Before you get too excited about PS4 having 8 gb's, you should know that it is also used for the Cpu, which is pretty unconventional, but still isn't really special. The GDDR5 covers the whole PS4, while a pc has GDDR5 for the graphics card, and usually 8 gb's of DDR3 ram.

It needs no SP at all.

SP is always a incredible visual showcase. Aside from that, it's pretty fun the first time through. So personally, I hope they keep it, and I'm sure they will.

I enjoy the lite version Kozzy gave me, some excellent tweaks and fixes.  The weather could use some work, or unless it's just the map...bit too blue IMO.  Quite good for an alpha, color me impressed

I am liking it. I also hear that it is supposed to improve visually quite a bit before release. For example, it is still missing the weather effects.

Bad Company 2's levels didn't have the level of detail that BF3 has. The enviroments in BF3 are bigger and more diverse, so it's harder to keep the same level of destruction.

I designed part of Shanghai in CE3 a while back, aside from that, I am working towards a degree in engineering with a emphasis in architecture, so I know most major skylines pretty well.

Back on topic: loved BF3, the game is probably the best looking game to date next to Crysis 3, and the gameplay is fantastic. So hopefully BF4 is just as good.

While some of these complaints are warranted, designing a game isn't easy. Sometimes you will make a completely different game, but a city setting suddenly makes it a crysis 2 or MW3 clone. Dice is a good dev, but EA seems to be holding them back. EA is probably the reason we didn't get to mod BF3
