Launch was basically what hurt them, it's a fantastic console now though. 2 years is a long time, even though it really has felt like way less time since 8th gen started.

Well this is a mess. Linux only games, premium price, and 14 models to -start- with..

It would've been so much easier for Steam themselves to have released 1 hardware box with Windows, but have a special front end to auto-launch Big Picture and make it all function like a console.

By the way, nothing against Linux, it's come a long way. But if anyone spends $2000 and then only has access to Linux games, they will be salty.

So, what happened to the Windows 10 Windows Update feature? Isn't that supposed to be keeping everyone's drivers up to date? Meaning, everyone could have Game Ready drivers.. with no extra software?

For non-Win 10 users, I could be wrong, but I don't think downloading from the website was really a big issue..

I debated going in to the preview program, but I'm glad I didn't because I've heard of some nasty bugs. Which is to be expected in a beta.

I am, however, really excited for this new UI and 360 BC. November can't come soon enough. :)

"Fixed an issue which could result in ranking down after winning a match". - Wow, that seems like it should've been patched a lot sooner.

I don't play online with this, but damn! lol

I'll probably pick this up when both my 360 controllers die. I'd rather not have to wrestle with my Xbox One and PC every time I want to re-sync to a different device.

Since Windows 10 refuses to stop annoying me on Windows 7 Windows Update, it'll be inevitable that one day I'll wake up and have Win 10 anyways. I've rooted this whole PC, and it just keeps coming back. Since I have a Win 10 tablet, I actually don't mind Win 10. I just don't want my Windows 7 program installs getting fubar'd like other people I know.

@kellian1: I agree it's a rare and unusual occurrence, certainly not a career choice you can really plan. I grew up in the 90's, where I heard generalized statements like "no one can ever" attached to things like this. Hence, to see it proven wrong even just for one person (even though there's more than one), made me a bit happy from a rebellious standpoint. Nothing against teachers.

Well.. I'm sure teachers are out there, rethinking telling kids: "Sitting on your butt playing games all day isn't going to get you anywhere".

I was concerned when I read the title, but an extra $1 per month (that won't affect me until a year from now) is fine. I've had Netflix service for several years now, and I only end up using it every few months to splurge on content when I need a gaming break. Even though I'm barely using $8 a month as it is, Netflix is far superior to any cable packages around here.
