Got Assassin's Creed 2 + 8-Bit Nirvana

-- I got Assassin's Creed 2, simple as that. Enjoying it a lot. The sequel fixes a lot of the major flaws in the original game, like the poor plot, cardboard cut-out characters, etc. Ezio's pretty awesome, and I like the small RPG elements in the title.

-- I've been playing the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection a lot, and I started out with MGS2. I've beaten it twice already and I accomplished quite the feat. I beat Metal Gear Solid 2 (tanker and plant chapters combined) without dying, I did not eat a single ration, I did not get a single alert, and I did not kill a single person, and in under 5 hours. I got the gold trophy for beating the game without an alert. Life's good.

-- I am currently playing the original MSX Metal Gear title. It's hilarious how great it is, I have not played a 8-Bit game this good in years. Remember when the floor was electrified in MGS1, and you had to use a remote controlled rocket launcher to blow up the paneling? You do that in Metal Gear. Remember the gas mask you could get yourself to last longer in the gas rooms in MGS1? You can do that in Metal Gear as well. But wait....Big Boss is on my side in this game? I guess I'll have to finish it to find out what happens. Great game, complex, yet so simple.

Street Cleaning Simulator.

--Gamespot gave this game a 1.5 stating that ''In short, it's awful''. Simple as that. I have never played the title, so I have no opinion on this game. However Gamespot users give it roughly a 9.5. I read some user reviews and it seems to be the great video games ever created. One user said, ''This game is nothing less then the essence of god..its the point where creativity and divinity colide.''

One even gave a heartwarming story to why he loves the title, which can be read here:

''''Folks, I have a problem. Or rather, I have a NEW problem.

You see, I've been addicted to Glade air freshener for 7 years. I have spent countless thousands of dollars in that time and weathered the accusing stares of hundreds of zit-faced Walgreens checkout clerks. One of them even caringly quipped, "You can't possibly take that many craps. What is really going on here? Would you like me to call someone to get you some help?"

I have been an outcast for a long long time.

But I think I have found a cure. You see, two weeks ago I installed this game and my life changed within seconds of playing this for the first time. Much like when I progressed from fabric softener sheets to Glade, I found that all the addictive neurons in my brain magically quit crying out for Lavender scented aerosol. I just knew, instantly, that all my struggles were over. I had found a new addiction, one so sublimely Zen, that I would never crave a dangerous chemical again.

Whether it's the incredible co-op play with my imaginary friends or the immersive solo campaign, I just can't stop playing this game. Never has street cleaning been portrayed in such a life-altering way. I have always dreamed of living out my fantasies of piloting a 10 ton vehicle at blistering speeds of up to 3 miles per hour around small dogs and little old ladies.

Now a new issue has arisen: I can't pull myself away from my PC for long enough to attend to life's little necessities. I actually ate a Logitech speaker yesterday, which unfortunately detracts from this games incredible Dolby 7.1 surround. I am down to 9 bottles of water now and I may be short for this world. And finally, in an ironic twist of fate, I find I need Glade more than ever as the smell in my little under-the-basement-stairs computer nook is getting rather unbearable.

But I find it is all worth it every time I expertly steer my sweeper toward, say, a dead armadillo or a puddle of clown vomit. There is no end to the street cleaner's job, and that's A-OK with me. I shall happily spend the few days I have remaining in sheer and absolute bliss.''''

However, this all seems a little off. Could everyone be joking? Probably not. We have to latest breakthrough in gaming on our hands, and it might change the way we think about games forever.
 Naw, I'm kidding. Decided to write a fake blog because I cannot think of a interesting topic!
-So there I was, playing Metal Gear Solid 2. Metal Gears all around me! I called President Abraham Lincoln for help.

Raiden: Mr. Lincoln!! I'm surrounded by Metal Gear Rays I need your advice!!!!!!!

Lincoln: Well you know what they say a penny saved is a penny earned heh heh heh

Raiden: What the hell does that mean?!!

Lincoln: Hell, I don't know, just launch some rockets up their asses.

Skyrim Fixed+ MGS HD collection+ Rayman

Pardon the rushed nature of this blog.

-NUMBER ONE-Skyrim patch 1.4 has finally download to my PS3. I don't know what I did differently. It just downloaded. Strange. The lag is fully gone, and I'm right back into it, doing lots of 'Theives Guild' quests.

-NUMBER TWO- I just got the MGS HD Collection. I have never played the Substance or Subsistance versions of MGS2 or MGS3, so I'm really looking forward to it. Not to mention that MGS2 and MGS3 are some of the best games ever created.

-NUMBER THREE- Rayman Origins is pretty great. I really dig the art style and graphics, the controls are tight, and chasing that treasure chest gets mighty hard after a while. It's hard to dislike it when those cute widdle lums start singing. Seriously.

Alrighty. Skyrim awaits.

It's time to play some Rayman Origins.

--I hate Rayman.

--I first popped the original Rayman game in my PS1 back when I was a wee laddie. I strongly disliked it. Rayman looked dumb, the level design was bland, the graphics were really fuzzy, the platforming stripped down and dull. Megaman X4 and Crash Bandicoot 2 were my PS1 platformers of choice.

--Many of you guys herald Rayman Origins as a fantastic platformer. What do I love in a platformer?

- I love a hard platformer with lots of collectibles hidden in its stages and I love a great soundtrack to have me happy while doing it. Lastly, I love unique art-styles in games. Oh the horror, people say Origins has all this! However, I won't spend $50 on a game I may like, or hate. So, I'm borrowing a PS3 copy from a friend.

-I'll be sure to post my thoughts and impressions later!

Yo.

You've got a long road ahead of you, if you want to impress me.

A blog all about Raiden.

Caption is boring.

Yes, that Raiden.

-Introduced in 'Metal Gear Solid 2' Raiden met with universal hate. Why's that? He extensively trained in VR missions and the 'Big Shell' incident was his first true mission. He seemed to be a talented as Snake, as well.

''But why would anyone hate someone as awesome asRaiden?'' you might ask.

REASON ONE: He took away Solid Snake from players. Many stupids just didn't like Raiden because he wasn't Snake, simple as that. It didn't matter if Raiden was the most hardcore badass on the planet. However, I liked Raiden.

REASON TWO: He looked like he was ripped from a Final Fantasy game. A young man with flowing white hair was a little over the top, but I didn't really mind. Also, his lady friend looked like she was ripped from FF too.

REASON THREE: His voice? Eh, I guess some people found his voice irritating. I liked the voice actor, though.

--I am one of the few people on Earth who likes MGS2 more than MGS3. I absolutely cannot wait for Metal Gear Rising, and when I get the Metal Gear Solid HD collection, I'll start with MGS2, with a smile on my face. Eh, not sure why I wrote this blog, I guess I just wanted to rant a little..

It's time we put this game along side the greatest 2D platformers ever created.

People are probably going to hate me for this blog.

DK AND DIDDY

-Donkey Kong Country Returns- Even know I had a SNES as a child, I never had a single DKC game. I got Donkey Kong Country merely because I wanted a good platformer, and people were really talking it up. Opon sliding said game into my Wii, I was greeted with a musical tune that I recognized as the main theme for the series. As I played the first few levels, I thought the game was pretty good. However, the more you play this game, the more dazzled you get.

-I first noticed a keen attention to detail. When you are at an edge of a platform on your rhino, he have a semi-panicked look to his eyes, as he scrambles to get up. When you just stand there, Donkey Kong will pull out a Nintendo DS and start playing. When you pound on a mushroom, there will be a little puff of pollen that disperses in the air. These little things may not sound like much, but it goes a long way in making the game feel much more alive.

-The level design is some of the greatest in platforming history and it never lets up, in difficulty or quality. You'll be walking in a cave, then you'll jump on a mine cart and start speeding down a slope. Then a mole will come out of nowhere and start throwing explosives at you. Then, ice spikes start falling from the ceiling and the rail you where on breaks off and bends into a ball, sending you careening towards a bottomless pit. Which brings me to..

- The difficultly in this game will always sadistically mock you. If you think that beating the game isn't too hard, then try getting all the KONG and puzzle pieces. Oh, and you will want to, because getting them will unlock even harder levels. Once you complete all there is, you unlock a 'Alternate Dimension'. You must replay all the levels, backwards, and with only one piece of health. This game is the 'Dark Souls' of platformers.

- Lastly, the music is divine. While 90% of the tracks are remastered versions of the original songs form DKC, that's not a bad thing. Hearing those retro themes with real instruments is incredible. The game also has a few new tracks, and all of them are great. Two major stand outs are 'Sloppy Sands' and 'Rocket Barrel'. Google them. Seriously.

-People say the game has two flaws. One being the motion controls, and another being the boss fights. I played the game with the nunchuk and stick, and never once did I have a unfair death caused by the motion controls. As for the bosses, they aren't bad at all. They are varying and entertaining, and that's really all you can ask for in a good boss encounter.

- This game is so great, I actually got every game in the series for my SNES.

And that's about that. A fantastic game in every way, and one of the best 2D platformers ever made. If you have any doubts, go and play it. You will not be disappointed.

SCORE: 10/10

A Blog about ANIME and MANGA?!

Rare, indeed. I hope you somehow find this banter interesting.

-- Let me first start out with saying I don't really enjoy anime. Low quality voice acting and cheap animation usually makes me lose interest in seconds. However, I love manga. But let me start of with an Anime! It's the only anime adaption of a manga that a think is much better in anime form.

I LOVE TORIYAMA

--Dragon Ball Z has always been my favourite anime. At face value, it just looks like another fist-flying battle anime. Now, it sort of is, but don't let that fool you. Toriyama put a lot a effort into making the characters likable, and that goes a long way in ensuring that the viewer never thinks: ''Oh, guy A wants guy B to die ...or....zzzzz.'' Also, the series had fantastic music throughout. How fantastic?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z2ACNX8EA4

--It's also rare the an anime has it's character grow up. At the beginning of the original 'Dragon Ball', Goku was around the age of seven. At the end of Dragon Ball Z, he was married, had kids, and ..... well, the anime never told you his age at the end. Few animes have achieved the kind of 'Magic' that DBZ has.

--Now we deal exclusively in Manga. Yep, the good old black and white. Also, I'm going to lump three series together, if you don't mind, for the sake of pacing.

BYAKUYA 4EVERGAARA 4EVERum.....ummm...... Usopp 4ever?

--These are the three mega battle mangas of our generation. You can't really go wrongwith one about Samurais in the sky, rubber pirates, and Ninjas wearing bright yellow. Sadly though, One Piece(right) is beginning to fall off the map due to the story completely losing itself.

-- A very fantastic and intellectual manga I love is called Deathnote.

Balls.

The story is a very smart and logical highschooler, Yagami, finds a 'God of Death''s Notebook. If he writes someones name in the book, they die of a heart attack. It's by far the best manga in it's genre and everyone needs to try this one.

However, I like another genre of manga that I usually keep to myself. I can tell you though, I'll never met you. No, it's not dirty stuff, if that's what you are thinking. Can't stand that.

:)Bunny. :3

Whee!Aw.. :(

Yes, I like Shojo. Before I get a bombardment of gay slurs, no, I'm not gay -_- Though I doubt any of you are shallow enough to think that.

-Not sure why I like it. I get caught up the stories way too much, though. When I start a really good one, I'll just camp out at the library. My favorites have to be Honey and Clover and Love-Com.

Alright, that's about it. I hope you didn't find the blog boring or insulting to your IQs. :P

Skyrim Patch 1.4 won't download to my PS3.

I'll hit update, and the minutes left will range from anywhere to 1,000 minutes left, to 300 hundred. And the percentage never moves past 0%. My wifi is working for my other systems..

And everytime I sign into PSN, it will sign me out after two-ish minutes! I didn't download Skyrim Patch 1.2 or 1.3..... Is that it?!

Please tell me if you know anything.....

-- As for the game itself, I'm over 70 hours in now. I can't put it down.

Pardon this rushed blog. My next one will be a lot bigger and .... Well, I won't spoil....

Why.

Uncharted 2 and Skyrim Progress.

Pardon this blog being short and rushed, I wanna get back to Uncharted 2.

-- After finishing the first Uncharted game, and witnessing all it's pros and cons, I was very doubtful about Uncharted 2. So many people called it 'One of the Greatest Games Ever Made'. Now that I'm around 7 hours in, I see what they mean. It's clear the first Uncharted was a litmus test. Seeing what worked, and what didn't, Naughty Dog gave us, arguably, the best sequel in video game history. Gone is the simple formula of 'Climb and Shoot'. The game's settings are constently changing, whether you are on a runaway train, a lush jungle or a snowy wasteland. The combat is easier, and the platforming is more difficult (somewhat). What a sequel.

--SKYRIM-- My Nord, Linkuya, is now on level 27. I wanted to be neutral in this great war, but after seeing......events transpire, I decided that I would don the garb of a Stormcloak. I took Whiterun and now it is under the control of Ulfric Stormcloak. And I beat the MAIN STORY. Do I get props?
