ShadowofSonic Blog

Well, I beat 'Uncharted : Drake's Fortune' and....

It was fun. A decent, if not average, game throughout. The cons were:

-Platforming was too easy.

-Way too many difficult shooting segments led to tedium.

- Soundtrack wasn't all that great.

The pros were:

+ Fluid controls

+ Likable Characters

+ Interesting Story

+Those zombie-white-thing-creatures were a massive story twist.

Drake? DRAKE?! DRAKE!!!!!

-- Overall I enjoyed it. Luckly for me, I got the duel pack, so I can get started on the second Uncharted title right away! I understand how the series got into multiplayer, though. The fighting segments with those great setpieces were practically begging for it.

8.0/10

You know nothing about me, and I know nothing about you.

Reading one of Exbers more recent blog, he covered the fact that we don't really know alot about each other.

--Expanding on that sentiment, I was thinking that I've known some of you for years, and don't know ANYTHING about you. Of course, giving away loads of information on the internet is foolhardy, so I'll keep the info limited to three things.

1. My age. 16. Saw that coming? :P

2. Gender. Male. I'm suprised when people get that wrong.

3. I can't think of a third one. You can just put something random.

NOW DO IT!!!! IN THE COMMENTS BOX! GOOOOOO!!!

ooooo

Random image is random.

Skyrim, Trophies, and a Solid Snake.

I am absolutely in love with Skyrim. The game feels so alive! Besethda has clearly put MASSIVE amounts of work into this title. How about a wee story, laddies?

I got thrown in a jail for something I didn't do. This was no ordinary jail. The prisoners were forced to mine ore out of the ground. If not enough was mined? No food for a week. After I chatted, traded drugs around, got a shank, and busted out, I was free! I'm level 16 or 17 now. Short story. NEXT!

--I don't really care or like trophies. You know that much. But I notice that I don't get trophies, even when I should. :/ Playstation glitch? I dunno....... NEXT!

-- You know I'm a Metal Gear fanboy. However, I'll.......have to pass on Metal Gear Solid 3DS for now. Money's a little tight, and if I were to get a game, I would just get the MGS HD Collection, because it has 5 games in one. Oh, well. Pardon this being a rushed blog, I have time constraints.

DONE!

100th Blog Anniversary.

--Over the years, I've had quite a few good friends, and experienced many memorable events. When I first joined in 09, I was daunted out of ever using the 'social networking' feature. I just read reviews and such. I remember watching the Metal Gear Solid 4 review, still wondering if I should get into the series. Back then, my most recent system was my PS2. Around two years later I...wait this isn't a Metal Gear blog!!

-- One of the first people who friended me was a man named pokecharm. Why did this user catch my eye? His avy was a Charmander, my first Pokemon. Then, unbeknownest to me, he pulled a Samus on me. He was a she. -__- Funny how stuff like that happens.... pokecharm has always been a faithful reader of my terribly written blogs, and her blogs always outshine mine. One of my best friends, I virtually toast to you.

-- bugbag is also one of my long time friends, dating back to when I had first joined. A fellow Metal Gear fan, he was one of the people who encouraged he to get into the series. For that,I'm eternally grateful. I'll toast to you too!

-- FojMohsin- A fellow Narutard, so I don't feel that lonely anymore. He sounds like a cocktail. You'd walk up to a bartender and say, ''Hey, gimme a FojMohsin!'' I think it would taste fruity.

-- stephenage- I'm still feeling you. ;-p

-- soulless4now - Good old S4N. Always got good hygiene. But your soulless for now? Will you be soulless later? Will you go to the store and buy a soul? I'm...... probably thinking about this too hard.

-- NeonNinja - Oh and NeonNinja? If you want to be a Ninja, don't got around wearing neon colors. You won't be sneaky in those bright colors.

-- Aidan129 has the great gaming setup ever. MARRY HIM!

-- berto64 - I don't talk to him much on GS, but I do on the PSN. He's a great guy. He proves that there is a such thing as a nice Call of Duty fan.

-- Uesugi-dono - SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM.

-- GamerofMario1 - A great Mario fan, and we've chatted way to much on Gamespot and Swapnote.

-- game-ster23 - Good old Game-stah. Lemme talk in your language. 'Hello. Pleased to make your acquittance.' He's always been a faithful Mario fan, and that's what counts.

-- Rottenwood - A mario fan who's over 30. That's a rare species. GET HIM IN THE LAB!

-- Javinho - My wildest friend. The definition of over the top. He'll keep you on your toes, for sure.

-----That's everyone.(I think). But why stop there?! Let me post more stuff no one cares about!

-- Best Gamespot Staff member! - dannyodwyer - No contest. Between the HILARIOUS 'Bluffer's Guides', and the occasional 'Back Power'--gah.. I mean 'Start/Select', Danny's comedic genius is for all the enjoy.

-- Best Gamespot Troll! - Soniczero- If you ever disagree with him, he'll bash you forever. He'll spam your inbox, you name it.

-- I think that's about it. I'll enjoyed my time on this website, and I'll continually use it, unless something CRAZY happens. And for everyone else, just keep doing what you're doing.

Thank you.

100th Blog Anniversary+ Got Skyrim!

I've been a Gamespotter for a while now, and my next blog will be my 100th. What will the blog be about? You. You'll just have to wait and see.

--I got Skyrim!!!!!!!! 0.0 It's very.... new. I've never played an Elder Scrolls game, so I didn't know what to expect. The game opened with me being on a carriage, hands bound. Apparently, I f**ked up already and was on my way to get executed. Huzzah. I must have been kind of dim-witted, or something. Before my head would get separated from my shoulders, a dragon blew the place up, giveing me time to hit the highway.

-I'm a level 3 Nord. The scale of this game is unreal.

--.........Why am I on Gamespot?

*Returns to playing*

It's Skyrim. IT'S MINE!

In around 6 days. -.- Managed to score a deal, $44.99 brand new. Not bad!

-- I'm highly anticipating the game. I love to try out new series, and the sheer scale of this game is unique enough to have it stand out. From what I have heard, the soundtrack is phenomenal, the content is staggering, and the graphics are incredible. I like medieval games too. :D Not much too write about though.

--Except I'm waiting.....

Waiting..........

*checks mailbox*

One does not simply check his mailbox-- I'll shut up.

Dark Souls will go down in history as.....

{Note: I have not played Demon Souls}

-- Dark Souls will go down in history as the one of the great masterpieces of this generation. Everything came together perfectly, and the atmosphere is deafening. Let's go bit by bit.

-- The graphics = A dragon in repose-A kight! Kight-Kight, Kight!

The art St**lye is actually rather predictable for a medieval game, but the game pulls it off with such flying colors, it feels like a breath of fresh air. The bosses are something else. Giant Stone Gargoyles, a huge bull...man.. axe thing. :l And more.

--Bosses. Crazy. Big. Scary. Bosses on every corner.

AWE AN AXE MAN?!

What did I do to deserve this?!

Yes, that's a big Wolf. Yes, he's hungry.

Look closely.......it's a HYDRA!!!!!

I think I made my point....Wolfs, Hydras, half-spider-half humans...ugh....

--Sound. Once again, I think showing you is better than telling you. The cl@$$cal music displayed here is awe inspiring.

Overall, this crushingly hard action RPG game is one of the best I'll ever played in the genre. The seemless online mulitplayer is also a dream. This one one of the great masterpieces of our time, I suggest ALL try this game.

(Got Uncharted!) Gamespot Fuse?

Gamespot Fuse?

FUSE-DOH-RAH!

Got the Dual Pack of Uncharted ($39.99) which includes....

*Uncharted 1

*Uncharted 2

*A codefor a boatload of free DLC

--So far, Uncharted 1 is pretty great, with the only flaws being that there is a little too much shooting....It's not realistic. Playing a certain part for around 30 minutes, and Mr. Drake has killed over 100 people. He's a machine. Fun game, though. Sorry about this RUSHED BLOG. I'll try to do better next time!

Beat Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time.

HEY! THIS BLOG CONTAINS MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR THE SERIES AS A WHOLE.(well, sort of.) DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT BEATEN THIS EPIC!

--------------------------------

--- Few games ever get me feeling tense, the only series to successfully do that would be Metal Gear Solid. Yet at the end of Crack in Time, watching Alister go ballistic and KILL Ratchet was shocking. Like....WHAT?! I really liked Alister's character and voicing though. The voice acting is always pretty good in Ratchet and clank, though. I loved the way that you could modify ANY weapon you got.....TO THE EXTREME! PINK BLASTERS!..... :P I also love the story in the game.--Now all I need to do is find every Zoni, gold Bolt and RYNO schematic. .......:D And Skill points and Trophies. I just beat the game now.

--Through out the years, Ratchet and Clank has been getting higher and higher on my list of favourite series, and now it's up to number 4. It's so unique and diffrent from other platformers. If you haven't played these games, I feel sorry for you. Though I have not played the PSP ones.....

one!two`~!!!!three!four!PSP one!PSP two!five! R&C 4 LIFE!six!..... I lost count! YES!!!Never played this one.

The ending felt like it was the end of the series though. I hope Ratchet and Clank doesn't die off like Jak or Sly Cooper. (Never played those two, it was an example!)

Love them Radio Stations. And the credits theme. And the whole soundtrack.

9.3 out of 10. BOOM! Great title and MAN! WHERE IS MY HD COLLECTION, SONY?! Second best Sony series.

My Blaster Runs Hot!

You guys remember Captain Quark right? The hero who single-handedly saved the galaxy many times?! Every one in the family adores him!(Seriously, it's almost scary -_-)

Look at those musles!!(Note: I have not beaten the game yet. )

-----Ratchet and Clank: Crack In Time concludes the story that started in Tools of Destruction and continued in Quest for Booty, and actually feels different from the previous titles. First up, the graphics are PHENOMENAL, a step up from the last two games. Second, the story takes itself pretty seriously, meaning not as much over the top humor,(for the most part....). And yes, before you ask,Mr. Zurkon is back. ^_^ I have not played much of it, so that's about it.......

----------But I can't end it there.....so let's talk about Sonic Generations some more. I've been attemping to get all the red rings, but it's been going slow, as I want no help from any walkthroughs. I love the online modes, I love the music you can unlock! Whoever thought of the custom soundtrack deserves a award. Around 50 tracks for you to choose from, and the ability to do any level you want with whatever music you want.....ROCKS! Also, the remixed tracks are pretty damn good. This'll be the second Sonic game I'll probably spend over 100 hours on...... ^_^

Wanna see some highlights, both musical-ly and gameplay-ly?! OK!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyF_mi3ndI0**cl@$$**c Remix of *********. I don't wanna spoil.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2rUJQ-yiHMWhy couldn't Sonic 06 have been this divine?!

That's all for now!
