I really wasn't expecting so much, especially the money added to the other things. I intend to get Saiyuki dvds and most likely RE4 with the money. My grandmother told me after everything was opened that she was going to get me a new gaming console but then didn't and gave me money instead. I could buy a Gamecube w/ the money, but I want the Saiyuki dvds more.

I played the FFXII demo that came w/ DQVIII. The game play was good, but it really didn't entice me into wanting to play more either, which kinda sucks cuz I remember playing the FFVIII demo and going nuts cuz I wanted more. :\ I'm sure I'll play the game eventually, even if it's not right when they release it. I've enjoyed what I've played of DQVIII so far, but alas, I won't get to play any more until I finish my independent study work, which is also going to keep me away from here again. I'll still try to pop in when I need breaks and whatnot, but I won't be quite as active as the past week or so... bloody honors college work. XD I feel like I should stay in college one extra year so I have more time for this thesis and to plan what I'm gonna do when I graduate.

Finished my projects for the most part for the semester last Tuesday and came home Wednesday. My independent study professor is defering my grade so I can rework and finish my illustrations over break. That could be a pain since I'm going to want to play a lot of games with my freedom. I got my grades for my other classes back already.

I started playing Legend of Dragoon again. Currently on disk 2 and just got Meru's Dragoon. And in FFX I'm at the Seymour fight on Mt. Gagazet. I'm so tired of him already. <.< I'm hoping to get some EQ playing time in over break too, so my 3-month subscription doesn't go to waste completely.

I think it's better than the older ones. I do want to use one of the Vincent images somewhere, maybe at the top of my blog since the current image got cut off when they changed the GS layout. :/

Edit: I was asked to make some tags for the FFU. I'm not sure if they're any good since I haven't tried making tags before. So please tell me what you all think.

Senioritis + Final Fantasy = Doom. It's very much crunch time, but I can't keep myself away from playing FFX. Final Fantasy has to be one of the most addicting things on the planet. I have 2 papers due right now. One was due today and one on Monday. The one due today isn't finished and I don't even have a topic for the one due Monday. x.x Ugh. Someone needs to hide my systems from me until I can get this work finished. And I need to stay away from here at least until I get the work done. So I will talk to you all when I get done.

In other news, got my senior pix taken today. I hope they turned out nice. I straightened my hair then put big curls in it, but I'm not sure how well it held. I'll post one up when I get them if there are any nice ones.

Penn State is going to the Orange Bowl. w00t! I hope they kick Florida State's ass. I got info about Bowl ticket packages, but I dunno if I'll be getting there or not. Depends on if any of my friends wanna go in with me so we can get the cheapest possible package and then help figure out what kinda flight we'd be taking there and back. Probably best to just watch it from home.  :\

I've never posted a quiz result on here before, but I'm too Steve Burton obsessed for my own good as of late (as can be seen by the banner XP). He can be my hitman/bodyguard(with Squall shoes) any day. I swear if they kill him off of GH I'll never watch a soap again. Of course they've managed to hook me until they do.

The Penn State football team brought home the Big Ten Championship Trophy tonight to a crowd of screaming fans in Rec Hall. And, with the victory over Michigan State, secured the Big Ten bid for a BCS bowl game. What a wonderful feeling after the last few years. We are back on top. Happy Valley is the most wonderful place on earth right now. And with a few upsets in the next few weeks, PSU could be playing in the Rose Bowl for the National Championship. Miami (3) has already lost to Georgia Tech tonight. The only thing that could make this day better would be for Fresno State (16) to beat the undefeated USC (1). It's one very exciting day in College Football.

I attended a PSU Icers game today, but I have no idea who won. PSU was winning at the end of the second period, but the lil' lions got restless and we spent the last period trying to keep an eye on them and on the football score. Also, I got an EA sports t-shirt at the Welcome Back rally for the football team tonight. Yay for free stuff! Would've been better if it was an EA games shirt (as I like their motto better), but I can't knock it, it's still kewl beans. XP Think I'll wear it to fitness walking after Thanksgiving break.

Well, the school work insanity has subsided again, but will be back for the last week of classes since I am a world class procrastinator. I was sick Saturday through Tuesday from a mixture of lack of sleep, lack of food and Vietnamese food that did not agree with me. XD I enjoyed the cloisters on Saturday, but couldn't enjoy the rest of the day in NYC because of a massive (maybe migraine) headache.

I ended up making a few banners for the GS banner contest tuesday and wednesday. Dunno if I'll do any more, I just figured I might as well try to make some nice ones for games I really enjoy. Also been playing a lot of Legend of Dragoon since the work slowed down, and I'm slowly developing an obsession with Albert. XD

General Hospital was pretty interesting lately. There was a huge train wreck involving most of the important characters who were then trapped in the collapsing train tunnel ridden with abandon mining tunnels and they kept us guessing on who they were going to kill off. I was afraid they were gonna kill Jason (Steve Burton) and then I'd be forced to boycott until they decided to bring him back from the dead like so many other characters. Same would've gone for Sonny (Maurice Benard). They ended up killing Reese Marshall (Kari Wuhrer) off. I liked her, but she wasn't important enough to really piss me off. Jason isn't out of the woods yet though. It looks like curing him and getting his memory back could kill him. :\ Now they have me anxious for Monday's episode.

I can't wait to go home and see my kitteh for Thanksgiving. I always miss her so much when I'm at school. I seriously don't think I could live without having a pet. Even though I don't have one here, I know I can go home and play with my cat and drive her nuts whenever I have a break.

PSU is playing MSU this weekend. It's the big game and ESPN Gameday will be there. For Penn State, the title of Big Ten Champs is at stake as well as a guaranteed bid for a BCS bowl. Michigan State needs the win to be bowl eligible. So it should be a very intense game. 3,000 PSU fans will be in East Lansing to cheer on our Lions, I wish I was one of them. But tomorrow I'll be attending the PSU Icers game with the Lil' Lions kids. If I'm lucky it'll let out early enough that I can catch some of the game when I get home, but I'll set a tape just in case I miss it completely.

Updating now while I can't concentrate on cloisters anymore. I've been very busy with another week from Hell. Friday I have a presentation and paper on Romanesque Cloisters due, and I've also been worried about getting my Business Writing research done. Saturday I'll be heading to the Cloisters in NYC and also the Met, which I can't wait for. But all this reading about cloisters has me fixated on Soul Reaver 2 again. I'm going to need to go play a little as soon as I'm done here so I can get my fix and get back to work.

As promised, here are pix of me in my Sephy costume that I barely finished in time for Halloween. Wish I had better pix, but there were no professional photographers around. It took 3 cans of silver hairspray to do all that hair! XD

If nothing else, it was a good way to get some hot gamer guys to talk to me. O: ) Mwahahaha. My insanely awesome advisor was dressed as the Black Knight from Monty Python. It was sweet. I should've asked him if he could make me a 7ft katana since he's a metalworker and that'd kick so much ass.

The football team schwacked Wisconsin in the game last weekend. The crowd at the Beav was the second largest in it's history. No one rushed the field or destroyed anything this time as they had the riot police out before the game was completely finished. I was so sad that it was my last game as a student, but happy for the win. I got blocked seats for the game so I could tailgate rather than worrying about getting there 4 hours early. Plus that meant I got to sit w/ a bunch of my friends so that was nice too.

PSU plays MSU in 2 weeks then hopefully a New Years bowl game. As of now we're still #1 in the Big Ten and #5 in the BCS rankings. I'm going to get info on packages for the bowl game, but I don't know if I'll be able to afford it. :? I'd really love to go if possible though. I'll keep you guys posted. ^.^

After a heartbreaking loss to Michigan last week (2 seconds! grrr), the Penn State football team returns to annihilate Illinois.  The Illinis put the first 3 points on the board, but the Nittany Lions took control from there scoring 56 points in the first half.  By the end of the first quarter I knew it was in the bag, JoePa was getting his 350th victory and I could relax.  The reserve players were playing before the half ended and would for the rest of the game.  Final score, 63-10.  That's a lot of one-arm push-ups. XD  Penn State is now 7-1 and BCS ranked in the top ten.

Currently, I'm assembling my Halloween costume. I'll be being Sephiroth this year. :D  So far I've got the trenchcoat, boots, pants, silver hairspray, a cheap ass plastic samurai sword in case I can't get ahold of a nice wooden katana and a tube top to wear under the coat... as I don't want to get picked up for indecent exposure.  My biggest concern is getting the armor made.  I should bother my football player friends to see if they have any old football pads I could use, but more than likely I'll have to make them from scratch.  Which should be interesting.  Too bad most of the parts for the costume are so bloody expensive, but at least I'll have it in case I get to an anime con.  Pictures to come later.  I just can't wait to walk around campus in Sephy garb. :P

And I'd like to apologize for not commenting on other people's journals.  The glitch that doesn't let them show up is still not fixed, and I have too many other things to do to keep checking everyone's manually.  Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon and I can get back to commenting again.  Hope you're all doing well!

What an awesome, exciting football game on Saturday! The Penn State football team buried the Buckeyes, and is now ranked #1 in the Big Ten and #8 nationally by the Associated Press. I think this should soon silence the JoePa detractors. The chances of a bowl game are looking really good this year, and it's so exciting to see this happening my senior year. 109,839 people attended the game this past weekend in a very wet Beaver Stadium, making it the second largest crowd there in history. Some fans rushed the field after the game and caused damage, many were maced and there were riot police all over the stadium area and downtown. It was just insane. Next week's away game might be a little tough, but I'm hoping they'll still manage to pull off.

Friday I worked the Rally in the Valley as part of the human tunnel for the football team. The acoustics in Rec Hall have not improved with its renovation as it was still hard to hear what JoePa was saying, but I caught some humorous things he said.

I'm actually surprised I'm not sick yet (**knocks on wood**) with all of the time I spent standing out in the rain and cold. This week is "fall break", meaning I have a 3 day weekend. XD I think I'm going home on thursday and staying there until I need to be back on monday for class. I definitely need this cuz there's been so many things going on that I just need to relax, and hopefully see Corpse Bride(yay Tim Burton & Johnny Depp!). I miss my kitty too, but she'll probably be mad at me for being away so long.

This past week was just that. So many projects and nuisances I could barely take it. I swear I feel like the arrival of Sephiroth on monday marked the begining of crazy stress out mode for me. It didn't take long for him to get here, about 3 days via mail which was pretty sweet. Vincent on the other hand took 2 weeks to get here, but the stress level seemed to decrease significantly when I picked him up on thursday. Yay for wacked out theories, no?

Anyway, I finally get a breather. And Penn State's 5-0, yo! XD If they can beat OSU tomorrow that'd kick ass. We're currently tied for #1 in the Big Ten and ranked 16th by the Associated Press. It's the big game on ESPN tomorrow so it's very exciting, though I'm not too happy about the idea of the game starting at 7:45pm, I most likely won't even be getting back to the apartment til after midnight. I just hope they're able to come out on top.

And since the burden has been lifted, I decided to make a Vincent avatar. It's my new LiveJournal avatar. I might shrink it down for my avatar here too since it goes better w/ my sig. I'd say Vincent's definitely my new muse. ^.^

I wasn't going to update this before the game, but I'm not sure I'll have time afterward since I have so much work to catch up on. XD Anyway, the point of this? I was feeling evil while I straightened my hair tonight. O: )

The only things I changed were the hair color and eye color in Photoshop. Now if only I had the costume and masamune to take out annoying roommates.
