If any of you use your accounts on MP3.com or TV.com, you can find me there. MP3.com makes me smile muchly because I've been looking for a way to make a list of my cds without actually typing them all in. :) Of course they haven't let you add soundtracks or compilations of various artists yet, so the albums on my list actually aren't all of mine. Now all I need is a site where I can list all my movies. :P
TV.com, btw, doesn't reflect what I actually watch now... which is just about General Hospital and that's it. XD Yay for the mafia! And hot men that resemble Square's characters! And the evil balding man that reminds me of Moebius(LoK)! **stabs**
Ah, yes. And there will be more Final Fantasy art eventually. If I ever finish it. And scan it.
And the update on FFVII. I'm on disk 3 side-questing before I advance the story to its conclusion.
Final Fantasy VII is currently sucking up all of my time. I'm having too much fun with it. Today I finally decided to stop messing around leveling up and finish the first disk. Jenova was cake with Cloud at level 50. XD I guess I shouldn't have to worry about leveling anyone for a while. Hopefully I'll actually finish it while there's summer left to blow. Then maybe I can get my arse in gear and finish VIII too.
And, for anyone interested in seeing what I've been doing while I'm not playing FFVII, here's a realistic Sephiroth drawing for ya. :P (told you it's sucked me in) The actual drawing looks a little different since I'm still working on it. Enjoy.
I just need to get this out of my system before I explode and leave a mess all over my apartment.
God! I hate Blood Omen 2! This is the second time I started the game, went through a few levels then got completely sick of it and shut it off. I don't think I've ever clashed so much with a game before. At first I thought maybe I just couldn't stand playing it on the PC without a controller, but now I'm playing on PS2 and it's just the same as before. So now I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the ugly character models. Or, more likely, the level system and how bloody long it takes to get through just one level. Or possibly the fact that, from what I've seen so far, it just doesn't fit the story of all the other games and it's turning me off. Don't know, but I have the urge to scream at the top of my lungs when I play it. I have to force myself to pick up the controller again. Why do I torture myself with it? Because it's the only LoK game I haven't beaten yet and I just want to be able to say I've beaten them all.
Did anybody else feel similar while playing it? If so, how did you over it? Or did you quit like I've already done? Please share.
Ok, so I saw the movie and I'd say it's mediocre. The story is convoluted and from the comments of the friends I went with, very hard to understand without knowing the story in Alone in the Dark 4. The acting could've been better... I know Christian Slater can act better than that so I'm wondering if Mr. Boll instructed him to be a little more bland. From an AitD fan's point of view, I guess it's not as bad as I'm making it out to be. My problem was that I went in expecting to see the exact story from AitD4 based on the trailers and I was disappointed that I didn't get it. But on thinking about it more, the games themselves aren't super connected and if I think about it that way, it wasn't so bad. Edward Carnby and monsters were about the only things the games all had in common. I just think Boll used too many elements of the latest plot-line in his story without trying to make it very close to the original. If he'd've started with a completely new story recycling only Carnby, he wouldn't have had the problem of some points being too subtle(or not there at all) for those new to AitD... either that or or it would be too convoluted for even me to follow.
Anyway, at least it got me back to playing AitD4, enough that I've finally beaten both scenarios and enjoyed every minute of it (die evil plant monsters!). I thought it was a very enjoyable game and I was greatly amused by some of the cheesy scripting that seems to have become signature to survival horror games. I really wish Infograms would make another game (just not based on the movie XD). Maybe I should go play AitD1 now. O: )
... Oh, and, Happy Birthday to me! :D
Yippee... back to school... lots of work. Blech! I can't wait to see Alone in the Dark the movie. I've been waiting for it too long, now it's finally coming out. I don't expect it to be super interesting as I doubt it follows the Lovecraft roots as closely as I'd like, but it looks pretty good from the previews. If they're any indication, this could be the best video game to film yet. Of course, it could all be misleading as we've seen with The Village.
I can't wait til I get the chance to play RE4. It seems like it should be awesome, even though I've figured out one of the "surprises" already. I know all to well how the guys at Capcom think. O: )
I don't think I need to say much more about our football team this year. They suck to put it bluntly. They just can't get it together... again. Our D's been kicking arse all over, but the offense just can't seem to get it together at all this year. I seriously think it's time to train and use Morelli, beings as they burned his redshirt and none of the other QBs can get anything done. I honestly think one of our biggest problems is JayPa, but I doubt that he'll be going anywhere anytime soon. Is it too late to bring Fran back? The addition of Galen Hall certainly didn't help anything. It's just very frustrating, and I can only imagine how the players feel. The season's not even over yet, but it certainly seems like it is now that all hope of a bowl game is lost. Oh well, there's always next year....
And we're now 2-3 going into the 3rd Big Ten game. The offense is definitely our biggest problem ATM. The D held Minnesota to 16 points, but the offense could only manage 7 points. It's a shame we couldn't get anouther 7 on the last drive of the game. I'm glad to see Mark Rubin stepping up and actually catching some throws, bad and otherwise. They play Purdue at home this weekend. MRob is listed as questionable, but he's not listed on the Depth Chart. I'll be involved in the Rally in the Valley this Friday which I can't wait for. Last year's was a blast even though it was short.
