I won't be buying it until a price drop. The single player looks like fun, but I also said the same thing about MoH 2010. THe multiplayer looks cool, but I only like to dedicate myself to one multiplayer game at a time. Right now I'm still playing Battlefield 3.

JangoWuzHere

I don't like dedicating myself to any one game, purely because when I figure out all the inner workings of a game from playing it continuously, I get bored of it soon after. There is a constant appeal to a game when there is a lingering air of mystery about it...something you could say about relationships as well ; ) I play a variety of titles to keep things fresh and sane.

Hey guys, I was actually very surprised to find this list. I thought the only FPS games that could possibly be browser based were Quake Live and some crappy Flash games. Well, check out some of these titles if you're bored at work or whatever, at least one of these is actually pretty decent.

I tried Begone for instance, it plays like CS 1.6 but has sprinting and ADS mechanics like the CoD games. An interesting combo and it's not too bad.

Let me know what you think of this find! Just don't try to compare any of them to Triple-A games, cause...well... anything you could say in that aspect would just be restating the obvious.

You got me! I'm EXCLUSIVELY a PC gamer and I have a TON of videos on my channel... I do Action and Shooter games mainly cause I love the adrenaline rush. I also do plenty of commentary and will continue to do more in the future. I've been branching out in terms of what games I play lately, so feedback is always welcome!

I'm currently playing a lot of Killing Floor so if you want to team up sometime, add Sharkhead on Steam!

Yeah as an occasional RPG player I enjoy making my own experience rather than following a linear storyline (although it may be fun to progress through, it is personal experiences that make games retain their playability - moddability of the game accentuates the previous characteristic). Fallout 3 is long been a favorite RPG of mine and every so often I open it up and continue right where I left off from the last time I saved the game (which is usually months ago).

Game is badly unfinished, the devs ignore most of the beta feedback, and Smedly is forcing a release because they want money ASAP. Do I blame him/them for rushing to release? No, but the afromentioned facts are the reasons that COUNTLESS mmo's fall on their face at launch and never recover...

Erratic_Knight

Devs are almost never to blame, blame Sony, and blame SOE for not being able to stay on a time table. PS2 was supposed to be out in the summer, and i guess Sony gave them a date it needed to be out by

That's why I separated it, Smed is the Pres of SOE, he announced the date and he's to blame for releasing. The devs however are to blame for not taking the beta community's feedback... Regardless, like most new toys the population will boom for the first month, and them plummet hard as the months progress...

Fortunately the initial population spike-and-drop happens to every single online game ever launched and is to be expected. I say enjoy PS2 to the fullest no matter what happens. It'll be F2P so aside from time invested, you really have nothing to lose from playing.

If any game could teach the importance of daily time management at a relatable level, it would be The Sims 3 : D

Yeah so like the poster above me said, try to figure out the ideal schedule for your Sims and then throw a wrench in it. Half the fun comes from helping them recover from the damage you've caused.

tried it on my spare system.

the new UI is less straightfoward (put it slightly) than the cLassic windows styIe, but easy enough to figure out; getting used to it is simply a matter of time. though I have no idea why MS changed the way the "Start" key works. the change actually makes the OS not as easy to use as previous versions. for one thing, the first time I tried out windows 8, I actually had to crusor around to find a way to turn the system off~~"

however, 8 is no vista: it's quite stable and basically 7 with new UI.

not going to make the switch for my two main rigs, not yet; not until windows 8 is proved to be a better OS than 7 for gaming.

teardropmina

It'll take some time before game devs start optimizing their titles specifically for Windows 8, I think we'll be fine for the time being.

You're insane to say BC2 had good hit detection. I loved BC2, but the hit detection in that game was BUSTED. Battlefield 3 has far superior hit detection.

psn8214

Agreed. BC2's hit detection was horrid.

For my experience it was the exact opposite :U

I enjoyed Sleeping Dogs. It's a decent GTA clone with a Batman-esque hand to hand combat system that's pretty entertaining. The story plays out well (much better than SR3) and I really enjoyed it. Ultimately though, the two games are two different genres. It really boils down to do you prefer an open-world GTA clone or a hack and slash platformer. My preference is Sleeping Dogs.

More like sharing slight similarities with GTA than an all-out clone. Kind of like how COD games aren't clones of DOOM 1 & 2 just because they happen to be shooters too.
