I downloaded and applied patch 1.3, and then 1.5.Doom_HellKnight
Ya, the 1.5 patch is the latest one to come out, but you do need the 1.3 patch installed first for it to work.
Have fun!
Alright seasoned RTS fans, which one does the community prefer, Supreme Commander or Compnay Of Heroes. I have to choose one of them and I am having a really hard time deciding.
I make a new thread for this because I want a good description why you like each of them. Both are very different games in the RTS genre. I have World in Conflict and it is amazing and all but I have wanted both of these titles for a long time so I figured I will pick one up tomorrow. Both are only $30 so I figured I might as well, seeing I blew through Crysis and am kind of sick of WiC.
So which one do you prefer and why? If you have only played one, just tell me if you enjoy it and what you enjoy about it.

This is a tough question. Both are great games that got excellent reviews. I will try my best to outline the pros and cons for each game.
Supreme Commander: This game is based on the idea of tactical control of your forces. It allows you to build huge armies filled with land, sea and air units. You have a very large battlefield to work with and maneuver
The system requirements are pretty steep, but so are CoH, so make sure you can run it. All 3 races are pretty much the same. They all have different designs for units but other then that, they are the same. The campaign is a joke and so it the story, but thats not why people bought it. The multi-player is really fun.
Company of Heroes: Also based on tactical control. Great visuals (explosions and gun fire look great). The whole environment is practically destructible. Buildings, bridges and even telephone poles can be destroyed. Great selection of units which are differentiated in the different armies.
Again, heavy system requirements. In my view, this game gives you less control of your individual units, instead has squad command, which works for some people, just not me.
I personally prefer Sup Com because of its vast maps and easer UI. The choice it yours
[QUOTE="ShatterStar77"]I did not buy the full game of WoW. But I did play the 14 day trial, and I have to say i liked what I saw.
Quests are funand it draws you in. Graphics were not as vibrant as they could have been, but I understand why they made it the way they did. I enjoyed the quests, character selection and overall atmosphere of the game.
But, in my experience, I felt the game-play was a bit too slow for my taste. I don't know if this was just due to the short time I played it or if its an actual phenomenon, but I prefer an MMO to be a little faster paced.
Overall, its a good game that is worth the time and money (if you have it, lol). But my fav MMO of all time is City of Heroes because I used to read comics all the time when I was a kid and it caters to my speed needs.

Actually, WoWs action is pretty fast paced compared to some other mmorpgs.
Have ya tried Lord of the rings online? The action is so boring -_-
Really? Well, it was probably just my experience then. I was thinking about getting LOTR when it came out because I did like the movies. I'm glad I didn't
