omg she-geek went skiing

Yeah, I went skiing yesterday with a couple of guy friends who have been bugging me to come skiing/snowboarding with them for a season or two now. I finally gave in, almost regretted I did. You have to understand that I had never been on a pair of skies before, so you have to give me some credit for trying, neh? I wiped out quite a bit, and after two and a half hours my legs didn't seem to want to keep in a snow-plow so I had oodles of trouble slowing down at the bottom of the hill. And of course, a few people from school were working that day to watch me make a fool of myself. That really topped things off. I still need to thank them for putting up with me for the four hours I was out there...I was a complete newbie and their decent skiers and snowboarders. So I slowed them down considerably, but I do plan to go back so I can learn on my own time, the idea not to waste any of theirs. When I got back I also found out that Mother-Dear used to ski. She won't come again this season, but next she said we could get a pass and go ski. I'm like cool, teach me oh fearless leader.

In other news, I'm extremely sore...my legs not so much but my back and for some odd reason my arms and wrists. It's a beetch to type, let me tell you. Yep.

OMG WTF is up with the PS3 price? Riddle me this, Batman. No frickin' fair. The price had better come down, and I'm hoping to hannah that the those stupid anyalysts are wrong, and PS3 is trying, and suceeding, to scare us all. The most I was willing to pay was 499. That's it, and I think that's reasonable. They had better bring down the price or something bad is going to happen. Like, riots led by yours truly.

my friends are rockstars

True story. My friends made a sixty minute, seventy dollar budget film and it's showing at our local theater tonight. The Citie's hereld reveiwed it, as did our own newspaper, and all I can say is PUMPED! It's tonight at 7:30. W00T! See, all my friends are genius'. All of them. We got Sirquacksalot with his brain, Nuffie with her musical talent, Azie with her drawings, me with my uncanny obsession with games...though that's not really genius, that's just an obsession.

Yep. Thought I'd let y'all know that I'm on Gaia again...I kind of avoided it for along while because I got really board with it, but it seems to have picked up some new features that I am anxious to try out. If any you reading this are a part of Gaia, PM me. Username is Random Individual. Creative, neh? LOL.

omg it's about time

Advent Children is FINALLY coming to North America in late April, and I am SO pumped. I've seen the Japanese version, but I've been itching to get my hands on one that I can understand without subtitles. I wasn't entirely pleased with who they picked for the voice of Cloud, but it was kinda obvious that they would. Ah well. He had better do a good job.

Back on the home front, just realized where RE4 went to, couldn't find it for a couple days. It was in my laptop case from the last time I went over to a friends to play it. I'm an idiot, I know. Leave me alone it's been a tough couple weeks.

Speaking of tough, I woud like to rant. My social teacher is INSANE. For our first project we need to renact the Enlightment period. Sure, all find and dandy, but he want's it comeplete with food, costumes and memorized script. There goes my week off. Oh well, I'm hoping our group will pull through. We got the funniest kid ever in our group so it'll be humorous, though I'm wondering if our teach will get the joke. Probably not.

And, I am passing chem with flying colours now that I know what the heck I'm doing. Go me. Hurrah. Speaking of chem, I got it right now so that's it for now peeps.

ish stressed

I just got a chem quiz that I did back and I FAILED IT! I couldn't beleive it, I thought I knew what it was talking about. Apparently not. Shinadigans. I was so pissed...I swear my teach has something in for me.

In happier news, I almost bought Guitar Hero, but I didn't. I think after Amplitude, any kind of button pusher, no matter how cool, just doesn't appeal to me. I was all excited for Guitar Hero before it came out, but then I saw it, I looked at it, and my little gamer-rader or whatever the hell you can call those things went off and I didn't buy it. Azie nearly killed me. I bought five new CD's instead: Staind, Seether, Queens of the Stone Age, Godsmack and...ah, Shinedown. Yep. Enjoying them immensly.

Other than that, nothing to report. Of interest anyway. Not that my life is really that interesting. ANYWAY...gonna go do something crazy.

raah raah rasputine

I feel like the ultimate hose...I've had RE4 for how long and I still haven't beat it? It's not that it's hard, I justĀ haven't gotten around to it and I've been avoiding it for some odd reason. I think I'm gonna be adventerous and change my little avitar there, I'm getting board with it. That and I can't use Lightwave anymore because Mother-Dear has forbidden me. Said it was effecting my schoolwork. Damn I can't wait to get out of here. So, behind her back of course, me using Blender 3D. Not quite as powerful, but the interface is quite user friendly once you get your head around it.

NAUGHTY DOG STILL HASN'T REPLIED. Bonkers, am I. I think their avoiding me. Maybe I'll harass some other game company that has plot holes. If I was real ambitious I would go for SE with Final Fantasy, but that game has been picked apart so many times since it's come out I don't think its worth it. I think I'll tear apart Silent Hill. Yeah. Motivation to start the game. Had it since last Christmas, haven't touched it. I'm losing my touch. So as soon as RE4 is done (not worried about Ninja Gaiden, because let's face it...it's going to take me a long time to beat Master Ninja) I'll start with the infamous Silent Hill. Then I'll poke and pry at their plot and make Konami feel all insecure and stuff.

Speaking of Konami...I need the MG series. Apparently the plot is so out there nobody gets it...says the artical that I read. MG looks like too much fun, and I've decided that I love the Splinter Cell series as well. My my, I need to become employed to pay for my sad, sad addiction. I'm think I'm gonna go rate some games and avoid my homework.

um...i skipped a level?

For a short time yesterday I was a SUPER SPY! Oh yeah. Level six. Now I'm a Sectoid. Level seven. Not that I'm complaining, but really. What's with that? I skipped a level. Interseting.

So yeah, that's all this blog is about. My miraculous skip a level. I like toast. Joy to the world. Seether.

omg omg this guy stole my idea!!

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6143653.html

Okay I was totally going to do this sort of thing with my whole Survival of the Sickest...game I'm designing as we speak. Not going to tell what it's about because all you people out there could like, steal it from me. Don't want that, now do we. Nope.

Haven't played Ninja Gaiden in like, two days. I'm all rusty. Got of the air ship, beat the boss which I thought was easy. Very surprising, as soon as I figured out the pattern for his attacks it was all good and I beat him. I am a pattern master. Cheer for me.

What else am I playing. You know, I've been kinda avoiding my video games because of school. I've been swamped. I got five courses that I'm doing this semester so I haven't been doing my normal course of gaming. Gonna loose all my l33t skillz. HEEHEEHEE, naw, I'm not like that. Anyway, gonna go splurge on food...IT WAS MEH BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY!

hey hey y'all

I liked the 'y'all' so I left it. So sue me. Anyway, updates on my gaming adventures. There is a pleasant glitch in RE4. When you're beating the seven foot Russian guy that turns into one of those funny parasites...he is so easy to beat. There's a ladder going up to the second floor, right? Yeah, turn left. Turn left again. See that huge sheet of metal? Hide behind it, take out your rifle, handgun, shotgun, whatever and start shooting through a hole on the bottom left. Make sure your not right up agains the sheet of metal because he'll get you with his obtusely large arms. Take a couple steps back, fire, aim. Wait, scratch that, reverse it. It works. Honest. Because I did it. And then when he loses his legs, it's easy. Throw a couple grenades at him, a couple handgun shots and you're done. Yep. For all of those who don't know about that pleasant glitch.

Ah yes, and about Ninja Gaiden. Love that game. Finally figured out how to get off the damn airship. Yeah, blonde, I know. So I'm like all excited and stuff to continue with the Ninja way and stuff because I'm gonna beat the game on Master Ninja. That's my ultimate goal in life. It may take years to do...but I'll do it. So there. I win. Yep.

And Jak X. Another one of those just fun to play, and multiate your last best time game. Yeah, playing on Hero Mode...not as hard as I expected it to be. On the Red Cup Kras circuit at the moment. HEEHEEHEE JAK DOESN'T GET POISONED! Speaking of which I need to email Naughty Dog about the other plot holes that me and Azie found. Oh yeah, they're gonna get like a restraining order against me or something. Happy emailing.

As a side note, I have played Amplitude till it could be played no more, so hence I don't play it. Don't even use it as a warm up. It's just a button masher, though Ninja Gaiden could be argued to be the same thing ;)

awesomeness i'm back in school

Not really awesomeness, but I thought it might be benificial for me to keep telling myself that so I can get my ass in gear and do something semi-productive...like the personal response that I'm supposed to be doing now. This space bar is sticky and it's driving me insane.

Anyway, in exciting news: I saw in me Union a cool program on the net, completely free, called Blender. Graphics program, very cool to use (though slightly confusing. I don't know why because I've worked with Lightwave for so long, but there it is) The interface isn't too complicated, but if you don't know you're hot keys you're completey screwed...I shouldn't say that, but it makes the program a lot more fun to use if you know you're hot keys. So in the learning process right now.

Also in the learning process of Japanse...honestly it was like I woke up one morning and decided that I wanted to learn Japanese, to I went on the web and found a site that is pretty good for teaching you Japanese characters, and it also goes over grammer aspects. So yes, been doing that for a few days, got about twenty sorta memorized. I tried doing some in physics today, and there was a gaping hole in my memory, but when I'm doing flash cards I'm fine...honest!

Let's see, what else am I trying desprately to learn? Oh, guitar, obviously. Still a major beginning, but I'm learning. I would like to say for the record right now that I absolutly hate guitar picks...I can strum with my thumb just find thank you very much. Yeah, I know, guitar guru's everywhere say learn with a pick or die. Fine. Be that way. In other music oriented news, my friend started a band, and guess who's singing? Yeah, that's right, She-Geek is singing. So I'm also desprately trying to learn how to sing. I can hold a tune well enough, but singing isĀ a whole different ball game. My shower head can attest to that.

So, yes, as you can see, trying to learn about a milion things at once here, not really good for my stress level but meh. You only live once. If my brain explodes, that's just fine and dandy. OOH OOH I GOT NINJA GAIDEN BLACK. It's so exciting, I got to add that to my games which I haven't done yet. Heeheehee, it's exciting. You know that whole rumour about no one being able to beat like, Master Ninja or whatever the hardest level is? Yeah, well I'm gonna kick ass and beat it and tell the world I can.

I also emailed Naughty Dog last night, finally, about my inquiry about Jak not getting poisoned. I wonder if they'll email me back. Maybe. Possibly. I sure hope so. Maybe they'll offer me a job...right. Don't I wish. Keep dreamin' She-Geek. Yep. Though I would eventually like to work for them, they sound like such a fun company to be employed under just by reading their corperate bio...it was amusing.

One more thing...buy the book The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks ASAP. Seriously, best book ever created. Been reading through it and it's incredible. That's all my ranting for now.

oh my goodness oh my goodness

I FINALLY GOT TO PLAY JAK X ONLINE!!! Maverick, you are an absolutle monster on Deathmatch, it's insane. And ace, you're incredible. I was so happy, my knees were weak by the end of it. It was so exciting. No, I don't actually have online, but sirquacksalot does and he invited me over. OH MY GOODNESS! I'm sorry, I'm still trippin' on some adrenaline or whatever. Sigh. Yeah, that was my exciting news. Bam. I told sirquacksalot I'm like coming over every weekend till the spring when I get the PS3. Mother-Dear said that when we do get the PS3, we get online so that's exciting. If that's really when Sony is coming out with it. If they don't, heads are going to roll. Okay, well, maybe I'm exaggerating. Because really there are probably going to be more glitches with that thing than the 360. So yeah. It will probably be benificial to wait anyway.

Anyway, that's it for me for now. I wanna go check the news, then GameDev, then I'm going to go play SplinterĀ Cell...kick ass game. Merry Christmas everyone!
