It was in an update quite a while ago.

Both 360 and PS3 look exactly the same on my 24inch monitor.

If that's the case, then I would buy PS3 for many reasons: Free Playstation Network, free wireless WI-FI (would it work with my Lynksys G router?), blu ray disc and 160gb for $500. If I choose Elite Xbox 360, I would have to pay for: Xbox Live membership $50 a year, wireless adaptor (but what happen if I connect ethernet to my PC with wireless adaptor) for $450-$550.

I hate it when people put things into the cost of a system that aren't mandatory... Okay so XBL is $50 for 13 months. Thats only $4 a month!

If you're going to have your 360 running through your PC monitor (you know, RIGHT BESIDE your computer and router) Do you really need wireless? No.

What about the signal strength? My PC shows the speed of 24-54 mbps range. I have heard about PS3 download time is extremely slow.

Go for what you believe has the better package, are you interested in 360 games or PS3 games? Do you like paying for an online service or do you want it free?siLVURcross
I believe PS3 has the better package, but Xbox 360 has better library of games. Will Xbox 360 support an external blu ray drive like they did to HD DVD external drive?

Look at the types of exclusives and see what you want. I prefer MGS4 over something like let's say Halo or Uncharted over Gears. It's ALL about preference. If you like online, XBOX is probably better, but I'm not sure.

I am not a big fan of Halo, I'm more into COD4 for FPS. I came from a hardcore Dooms player in many years ago. I like Gears of Wars, but I am not sure about MGS4. For the feature, I like Forza a lot better than GT, because Forza is more realistic car sim.

The 360 DOES support 16:10 widescreen, it just adds small black bars to the top and bottom of your screen. If I were you, I would definitely go for the 360 not only because of certain exclusives, but because of it's superior controller (IMO). Basically, get the console with the controller that feels better for you.

Can you confirm it does support? I have been looking for that in a spec through websites.

Yes i own the system and play at 1440x900 on my 19" Westinghouse.

Mine is 1920x1200...

Whichever suits you more (games library, features etc).

I wouldn't worry about the aspect ratio too much, as the stretched image won't be all too bad, and mine displays it at 16:9, and I can stretch to 16:10 if I want.

Blu-Ray should look superior, but I don;t have experience with that monitor.

I like Xbox 360 library better than PS3, but I am not sure if PS3 will make a comeback beating Xbox 360. For example, I would hate if the new Gran Turismo is better than Forza 3. I like to watch a movie, but I know that blu ray will have 3 years left before samsung introduces a HD movie in hard drive.

I am going to use a video game console for my PC LCD monitor, Samsung T260. I still can't decide which one to buy because it depends on the quality for my monitor. The problem I see with my monitor is that it has 16:10 aspect ratio. I have heard a rumor about Xbox 360 updates to support 16:10, but it hasn't confirmed yet. For Playstation 3, I've heard nothing about it supports for 16:10 aspect ratio. I read a review from last year that blu ray in PS3 looks like a standard dvd on T260. I would hate to play in a stretched picture quality because it doesn't feel right. I have a feeling that next year will be a new video game console system, so should I wait for one more year insteads?
