Yes, you can change views all the time.

KBFloYd

THere are many parts of the game where you have no camera control. Or unable to control it so why would you say that it does at all times?

you can control the camera in 98-99% of the game... your just being a troll.

More like 82% of the game. But remember, if you can't control the camera and if it's ever fixed, those 2 thing prevent Mario from becoming a full 3D game just like Crash Bandicoot. Uh oh. Also, still waiting for you to tell me how Mario 64 revolutionized gaming without adding anything subjective.

Same thing; it's just a bad and unpolished game that missed the point of the orginal's fast and arcadey experience. It's not even nostalgia doing the talking, because I only got a hold of my copy probably around 2 years ago, and played Journey roughly at the same time.

You think the sequel wasn't arcady? Huh that's new. But yeah, not saying it's great, but then again, you have to take into account what system was on.

It has nothing to do with being on the Wii, it was just poorly designed. The controls are stiff, there's way too much emphasis on the kids outside the NiGHTS gameplay segments, and the biggest fault lies in the unskippable moments when you lose and have to go through all the filler again. The first NiGHTs was just straight gameplay, and you felt the atmosphere without a second of needless dialogue. The sequel just comes across as a rough package that didn't need to be made.

It actually does, the gameplay was made for the Wiimote, and the Wiimote is limited. So they crapped logged other controls in which in cases like movment are easier but fail at everything else. The Wii believe it or not, actually, you can see by looking at the game. in many places the Wii seems to freak out in a lot of areas with the graphics, and there's slow down, those little crappy controlled parts with the kids where put there because making a straight knights game would have probably caused results not wanted (it also probably would have cost them more too, they didn't have a really big budget to work with in the first place.) which makes some sense. However you are right, there's a lot of things that were added and removed and many shortcuts where taken for the above reason. That last area where you have to here the kid scream fly around and get to the final boss, and beat him in a time limit than start over each time you lose is the biggest annoyance I have had with any game on the Wii. In fact, i still haven't actually beaten the game yet, I have been replaying it again recently. Apparently NiGHTS is a girl now too, forgot about that.

[QUOTE="Shockwave-DASH"][QUOTE="rilpas"] graphics don't matter, the games dorilpas

Also Atari has the longest lasting consoles and PC. Atari 8 bit line is 14, Atari St is around 7.5, and 2600 is 16.

nice!, though personally, I only liked their 8 bit computers, the ST line was cheaper but it had a small library when compared to IBMs or Amigas

I just made another very funny discovery. The Atari Lynx lasted longer than the GBC, the GBA, the GBAsp, the GB Micro, and each individual DS SKU. The only figure I don;t have is the GB discontinue date since people keep combining it with the GBC even though they are not Skus and are different systems. So until i know that so far Atari also has the longest lasting handheld. I do agree with you as well, the 8-bit computers had so much to be honest, it explains why they lasted that long. ST was good too but they lacked quite a bit, Commodore/Amiga gained a lot of ground while Atari kind of didn't. I find it so funny the Jack though they should screw the Pc's and focus on the Jaguar. :D Edit: I am still checking but good god, looks like they might have laptops down too. I am at a loss of words here.

GameCube controller, and check around the web, it's regarded as a poor game.

Renegade_Fury

You said atrocious not poor. I can understand poor game, I just think it's better than the first game. I try not to let my fond memories of the first blind what I think is clearly a better sequel. IMO at least.

I love the original, but the sequel is atrocious.

Renegade_Fury

Atrocious? Never heard anyone say that before. You use the right controler?

Them games though. The most games of any system with the largest amount of replay value. 1977 to 1992 if I recall. 2nd closest to that may have been there PC's with 78-- coming in 3rd.

Three things...

1. Best Zelda game has been released. It's called Majora's Mask.

2. I love how you and seemingly many other people completely disregard the 2D games.

3. Wind Waker is better than Ocarina of Time. Deal with it.

turtlethetaffer

Holy ****, I'm pretty shocked someone managed to say something more ridiculous than the OP within a SINGLE post.

Care to explain how I'm wrong? Because I'm not trolling or anything.

1. MM had the best level design, overworld design, story, sdiequests, atmosphere and challenge than all the other games. The only way it was really lacking was that the soundtrack, while still amazing, wasn't as good as others.

2. There are moer 2D games than 3D games in the series. You'd be a complete moron to not at least acknowledge their existence.

3. Wind Waker looks miles better (art wise), had a better overworld with more interesting and fun things to do, better story and possibly a better soundtrack. I'd say the level design in OoT and WW are about equal with each other.

I'm not implying OoT is a bad game by any means. On the contrary, I love the game and have played it numerous times. I just happen to think it's been surpassed a few times now, in terms of quality. No game in the series is likely to beat it for being the most revolutionary, but it's already been beaten in other ways.

MM, WW, and OoT had good area and dungeon designs? The dungeons in those games (but mostly MM and OoT) are pretty damn awful, especially MM. The stories in each are pretty dang bad as well with MM and WW attempting to add interest and then they just say "crap" and the rest is pretty below average. Oh, and repetitive sidequests are not fun. Especially with backtracking.. WW had repetitive things to do in the overworld with little variety and some BT just like its two indirect sequels on the DS. Also, OoT revolutionized what? You are making it seem it did way more than it actually did, in fact, it actually didn't do that much.
