To be honest it is a love or hate game. The main problem are the stupid guns, the change to the 4Kids dub and that each faction will always attack you, regardless of allegiance.

But, if you can ignore that, then it can be fun. I repeat, it canbe fun.

Miroku32
That only really applies to the dark forces which of course are just a bunch of unintelligent monsters. GUN doesn't attack you the first time, but then they call you a thread because you were seen talking and being around the dark forces so in reality, the factions attacking you make sense. Heck, going the android route there are no factions.

[QUOTE="Dudersaper"]Dragon Warrior 7 isn't in your list, and although I do have it, I haven't played it yet :P Was talking about DQ8 about the charming thing :P

...........................Dragon Warrior 7 has BEEN on the list what? Oh i must have miscounted the "I's", you did say 8. Now let's see i brought threads of fate and both suikodens. Sooo, brought Chrono Cross. Ok, that means 4 more left, hmmmmmm. I might be able to get the LUNAR GAMES later since there are several copies of both so let's see...

[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"][QUOTE="Darkman2007"] guess u have low iq if u cuunt understand moiDarkman2007

ROFL! That's hilarious, you're trying to call him stupid when you're the one that can't spell correctly or successfuly form an actual sentence.

You guys need to stop taking Jiggles so seriously. He means what he says about games, but everything else is just him having fun.

Oh, that explains it.

[QUOTE="Dudersaper"]I disagree with the control, it doesn't control all that well. That said, I don't find much problems other than that with the game, I did enjoy playing through all endings.

PS2 port is terrible. They didn't even put effort putting it on there, so much wrong in the first 10 minutes of gameplay.

Are the controls in the other versions better?

My whole thread is based on the GC version (although the Xbox version is good to with less slow-down and blur. But there are some problems that are added and removed in both the GC and XBOX ver. I will have to beat the Xbox version again for a more focused confirmation) as for the PS2 version, everything is better on the others than the Ps2 version and controls, and Shadow reacting to your controls is one of them. In fact, i think all Sonic games (even the collections where emulated terribly and have slow reactions0 on the PS2 is like the worse version.

[QUOTE="Dudersaper"][QUOTE="Shockwave-DASH"][QUOTE="Dudersaper"]I don't recall having any time restraints in PE, not sure about PE2 though. Threads of Fate is a solid 8, great graphics, it's an action RPG with good controls. And you actually pick between using a girl or a guy, each has their own separate story, and each plays completely different, it's definetly a good buy, you should go with it. It's charming.

Charming? You used that word with harvest moon to and i still have no idea what you are referring to. are you saying it's not really serious and a more joyful, happy, happy, cute game when you say it's charming or...

Not at all, when I say charming it means the game is attractive, it pulls you in. Just as I usually describe Dragon Quest VIII as charming :P

But you don't recommend Dragon Warrior 7?

It's even crappier than sonic adventure 2, which is quite the accomplishment.

Renegade_Fury
Never heard a Sonic fan hate SA2 before, not saying your wrong or anything opinion wise, but, wow, hundred and hundreds, of sonic fans online and off and someone actually hates SA2? (BTW I didn't like it either.) Huh, not that I don't believe you but why? Also, how is this worse?

Found Star ocean and some kind of Azure Dreams in the CD section. So at this point I am pretty sure that i listed all the games I don;t have that are available to me right now on the list. Man, I had no idea my jrpgs collection on the PSX was this bad. Got guy to put UNWRAPPED copies of Suikoden 1 and 2 for a cheap price, i told them they were supposed to be together and flashed Gran Tourismo at him as a fake example and he believe me when i showed him. manuals and all.

Now i always wondered what the big deal about this game was. I believe one MAIN but not the only factor in people giving this low ratings is the fact the game is in the Sonic universe and people compare it from that. the game on its own is good, and you have to realize you are not Sonic in this game and this is not supposed to be just taking Sonic type design and slapping Shadow on it. The only thing wrong about the game in my opinion is that it solves absolutely nothing and it does not reveal anything because everything is either not connected or contradicts itself. On the other hand, the game controls well, Shadow moves well with your analog, you can choose your own path, get different endings, interesting battles, and pretty neat scenarios. The gun play really depends on your weapon so it's a bit mixed. The grinding in some areas is a bit off, but th fast pacing and the jumps are pretty well formed, some areas have nice themes with music to go with, hidden passages, and some stages are pretty big. the Save points are pretty balanced as well with their placement. Chaos blast has its uses and it pretty nice to have a lot more attack variety as you do have additional ground moves, your air combo is next to useless. however, Choas Control is mixed with it mostly being a nuisance depending on what mission objective you choose to go with out of the usual 2 (sometimes 3) routes you can take to continue the game. Also, skipping save points. This makes you backtrack, which in some levels is ok, some makes no sense, and some require you to backtrack in a linear level where you can't see behind you because in these areas the camera does not turn around all the time. Still optional/ Other than that i see nothing wrong with the game I mean sure, there's the semi-useless weapons and hidden locked doors that have a mixed of cool and useless items, but those are pretty optional. you have a lot of options, especially in bigger levels (like the ark as one example), it has interesting plots although the real one has no connection to the rest of the game or future and past games involving shadow not solving a damn thing, but otherwise, i see no actual problem with this game with most things being optional and the main problem being some small amounts of grinds, some bad weapons, and chaos control. aside from that, there really aren't enough issues that I can see that make it get so much hate even from some non-sonic fans.
