Why are 360 owners avoiding the question? Why is the 360 the ONLY console without a good platformer? Why does it have such little variety compared to the other consoles?

I didn't know that this was such a hard question for you guys to answer. But instead of running from it why can't you try and answer it?

You do realize on Gamespot the 360 has the highest rated ames under "Platformer" right? Of both the Wii and PS3 right?

[QUOTE="Fightingfan"][QUOTE="BossPerson"][QUOTE="Shockwave-DASH"] Elaborate.

I just get that sense when I use a galaxy. The icons, the transitional animations and the UI in general just doesnt look as polished as Ios.

Might be because the ipad has a higher resolution.

Not really, also the IPAD does not fully output the resolution that it advertises.

[QUOTE="Dudersaper"]It's my favourite RPG series. Persona 3FES and Persona 4 and the most reccomendable imo, they're the easiest of the PS2 SMT titles and the easiest to get into. You have a fun dating-sim-like calender where you make friends and stregthen bonds to increase your pwoer (like say this one friends type is Magician, any Magician-type Personas you have get tronger the better the bond is with that friend). A fun but complex Persona Fusing system, and fun turn-based combat where you have to focus on striking the enemies weakness. The other PS2 SMT titles are harder than those two, but equally great. Each one changes the formula quite a bit, so the series has plenty of variety, like Devil Summoner 1 & 2 are more action RPG, you directly control your character and must capture Monsters so you can use in battle (also has a monster fusing system, different from the Persona games but the same cncept) Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, are turn-based and they have "press turns", like you have 3 party members, so you see 3 symbols on tpo of the screen, each represents a turn, if you exploit a weakness, you gain another press turn, so if you can successfully exploit the weakness you can (maximum) double your turns in a round. The monsters in this one are different than in any other SMT, your characters ARE the monsters, you can turn into and out of your monster form during battle, and you learn various skills using a grid-based system. Imo it's the less reccomendable because of it's difficulty, I only advise it if you get into the SMT series. The random battle rate is incredibly high and you can die by the slightest of the mistakes, it's pretty brutal. Nocturne I do own, but haven't played, I tried it out though, it seems like the difficulty goes close to DDS1&2 but if focuses on recruiting monsters by talking with them, etc (like in Persona 2)

So what are the main difference between say, Persona, original series, Digital devil etc? What series are there?

As i am trying to enlarge my gaming collection I have recently gotten persona 2, and while I have mixed thoughts about the game, I decided to focus on the Jrpg part of my collection right now. So the following games below are some games i would like more info on: Hoshigami or any Atlus game in general. After looking at Atlus' game list, i just realized that I never played an atlus game before until Persona 2. Have no idea how that happened. Legend of dragoon, I have seen this game all over, but at the same time, people are asking $60 for it. This is in real life to and not the internet so any info on that game would be nice. Vandal hearts series. Saiyuki: Journey West. Didn't really look at this back then since usually when an Action genre type game dev makes an rpg they usually have disastrous results. XenoGears. Hear this thrown out way to often, and I amnot going to lie, I didn't by it because a woman was on the cover back then. Or a guy that looks like a woman. Vagrant Story: Same as the above. Suikoden series, i wrote these games off because looking at the game from the outside it seems to be a generic rpg with just more players to attack with, but I withhold until a person who has played them give me more information. That's all I can think of at the top of my head, feel free to add any other game you would like to tell me about, I will get it I have a nice place that has all (or so they say) Jrpgs for the system. The only Jrpgs I own are, Final Fantasy VII, 8, Persona 2, Tactics Orge, Grandia, BOF 3, 4, Dragon VII, Eternal Eyes. So as you can see, any game you would suggest (and tell me a bit about it so i can see if I am interested) will most likely be a game I don;t have. Hopefully I will be able to expand my collection. BTW, thanks to those people who PMED me BOF 4 and EE, although I still think BOF3 is better, although I did by it when it came out however.

You can't declare war on a mentality, this thread lacks common sense.

When you look at Zelda are Mario which one do you feel has the most freshness with a new game? Less copy and pasting and recycling of game elements. Seems to change more often or add-on to the gameplay.

So between Mario and Zelda which one often gives you the fresher experience. The game that actually changes and does not recycle the same elements over and over as much as the other. The game where you believe the games are consistently good and offer something new each time. Which is it? Zelda or Mario. (Zelda.)
