Religion is a form of science, people trying to use science to disprove science does not make any sense. How is it based on science? Simple, the hallucination of creation by an artificial or natural means. Correct? Well Science is trying to find answers to life questions and trying to PROvE it is caused by artificial or natural means. Religion is basically based on science. The only real difference between Science and religion based on there beliefs and there view really only boils down to one thing: Is there a one thing that controls everything. Otherwise, like science, things like gravity and equality, and how creation works are all pretty much on the same base. Just one different thing that spins them in two different paths.

Well I have been looking through past threads, or as far back as I felt was necessary and at that, i noticed a lot of people (pointing mostly at a member called dudesraper but others did too.) talk about some kind of Shin Megamai Tensei games. ~Now, I am not really familiar with this series at all. I have heard about it many times, but back then i never really paid much attention to it and at the times I did, I'm afraid I could not find any games. ~So I ask, what kind of games are they? What do you recommend? I just recently got a copy of some kind of "Persona 2", is that any good? One more thing kind of off-topic, is there a reason why the forums keep mashing my paragraphcs together and don;t allow them to be separate? I find it to be harder to read.

It's not a JRPG, but why wouldn't it be an action-RPG? You level-up your character with an experience points system, you learn new attacks and spells, gain new armor and weapons, and there's even an emphasis on exploration.

Emerald_Warrior

Just because there;s EXP points does not automatically make a game an rpg. It's an Action-Adventure type platformer with rpg elements. If SoTN is a rpg then that would make X4 a rpg and that makes no sense. Exploration also does not randomly make and an rpg, otherwise Super Metroid is an Rpg. do you know what an Rpg is because you seem to be generalizing.

I think just the opposite of generalizing is happening here. I think you're definition of an RPG is narrow-minded. I think many gamers think that JRPGs are the only "true" RPGs, but in reality RPGs come in many flavors. And it's more than just an action-adventure game. Last I checked The Legend of Zelda doesn't have experience points, a leveling-system, or character stats. Admittedly, it does have some incredible platforming to the game, but that doesn't mean it's not an RPG.

Heck, JRPGs weren't even the first RPGs in video games. WRPGs and dungeon-crawlers were around on PCs long-before Dragon Warrior or Final Fantasy came around.

i WAS TALKING ABOUT THE DEFINITION OF AN RPG. Which castlevania does not qualitfy in anyway, and Jrpgs are more like more animated visual novels than actual rpgs. in most cases.

[QUOTE="Xenogears_Rocks"][QUOTE="Thenumber48"][QUOTE="Dudersaper"]I have exactly 19 Playstation 1 games at the moment :P so I'll go with those: Chrono Cross Darkstalkers 3 Destrega Dragon Quest VII Dragon Valor Front Mission 3 Hoshigami Jojo's Venture Lunar SSS Parasite Eve Persona 2 Rival Schools Silent Bomber Tactics Ogre Thousand Arms Threads of Fate Vagrant Story Valkryrie Profile Xenogears Funny thing is, I haven't played half of them yet. Been buying those over the past few months since I found them pretty cheap. I'll add Parasite Eve 2 as #20 because I plan on getting it.

How did you like Dragon Quest 7?I always avoided it, but maybe it's good. If you played it that is.

Gotta play Dragon Warrior/Quest VII it's amazing! One of my top 5 ps1 games for sure!

Damnit. Got my games mixed up.

[QUOTE="Dudersaper"]1- Parasite Eve 2- Threads of Fate 3- Persona 2 Those are the only ones I've played for the PS1 so far, I have more, just haven't played through them yet. Also, in another thread you say about DQVII "I've always avoided it, maybe it's good", did you play it in this past week and it became one of your favourites? :P

When the heck was this?

  1. King's Field II
  2. King's Field
  3. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
  4. Parasite Eve (never have played PE 2)
  5. Legend of Legaia
  6. Brave Fencer Musashi
  7. Dark Stone

And that's it for me. I'm not a JRPG fan.

SoTN isn;t an rpg, but I'll let that go.

Good Grief, Miyamoto isn't even the most important person at Nintendo. if the people are this dumb then maybe they will believe Yokoi rose from the grave and came to IGN as a ghost if I make a Gunpei account. "He's alive! He's Alive!"
