Both of these items are currently on sale at Amazon, so if you got the money I would get these otherwise these 2 items would normally cost you $800-900 bucks. Both of these are exceptional items. You will be looking at about $520.00

Did Sony say anything about the next update to grace the ps3? I would really like to know if they plan on adding Dolby HD and DTS MA support instead of just having it decoded within the ps3 and sent out as LPCM.

[QUOTE="2beers_in_hand"][QUOTE="Chutebox"][QUOTE="-wii60-"][QUOTE="Frier6000"]

resistance will improve by miles over the original where geow2 wont.

as for kz2, no1 knows yet.

Frier6000

And u know this because?... let me guess.. crystal balling too much?

This whole thread is about predicting the future...

I'd have to say Resistence from what we know so far, but we don't know too much at all about Gears.

Here I'll make it easy for you one extra hour of game play and online will be improved too 6v6 for teh GeOW.

geow 2 will be a rushed product, i can just see it.

Not really. 2 year span between GoW1 and 2 same with resistance I do believe.

Edit: that about Too Human goes for 360 games as well (i.e. Halo, DoA, etc.)

What's really hilarious is all the cows who claimed Gears 2 wasn't coming out in 2008 are now singing a different tune and in major damage control mode. :)

Super-Punch

Damage control because they get to play MGS4, GT5, LBP, KZ2, R2, T6 and more instead? Something tells me no.

That IMO isnt any better Lineup than what 360 has, but then again I could care less for MGS4, T6 or GT5. I'm much more excited about NG2, Fable2, GOW2, and Too Human (this may or may not be good, but at least its original and they are not suckling your money for the "fifth or sixth installment of a game with the same gameplay only better graphics.")

Both systems have good line-ups it just really depends on what games you like more.

This comes out to about $510 but you simply cant beat that deal and thats about the cheapest your going to find a receiver with HDMI switching and the Polk speakers I hear are really really good. So save up an xtra 100 bucks and get something your not going to regret.

Thanks for the help. BTW the TV is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I got home and got to looking at it and I think I can hit the center stud and the one to the left or right. I'll just have to off center the mount and buy one long enough so I can pull the T.V. over and still have it centered.

Ok I would pay the xtra 400 and get the 120hz. I just bought me a Sony 52" XBR4 yesterday and can honestly say motion blur technology is really cool.. just set it to standard not high. The thing with 120hz being better for 1080p/24fps has something to do with the whole 120/24 =5 vs 60/24 = 2.5 or something like that. I'm not completely sure, I just remember rreading something about it a while back.

You sooooo.... dont have to spend $1500 on a receiver. You can get HD sound out of something as cheap as the Onkyo TX-SR605 at around $400 dollars or you can go up the the TX-SR705 and 805 both of wich are THX certified and can matrix 5.1 into 7.1 and both of those are under 1k. Then you can use the extra money and buy some really nice speakers. The 605 and 705 has 2 HDMI inputs and the 805 has 3 inputs. They are all 1.3 complaint.. naturally since they can do HD sound and they can upconvert 480i signal.
