[QUOTE="briand07"]RRoD, no blu-ray, no wi-fi, expensive live fees. I don't get it.roadkill88

Who said anyone really is? 17 Million, but its a five year machine. It won't ultimately do any better than the original Xbox - simply because it doesn't have too much left in the tank. PS3 is 18 Months into a ten year life, on the other hand - and has already sold 10.5 - despite being more expensive.

Its simple - outside the net, the 360 is nothing.

Despite what the PS3 has in its tank without games the PS3 is nothing.

I agree, without games any GAMES console is nothing. Good thing it has:

Uncharted

Uncharted 2

Black 2

GTA IV (Which most casual gamers still think is a 'Playstation game')

GT 5

FF13

Tekken 6

Killzone 2 - probably Killzone 3

Resistance 2 - probably Resistance 3

LittleBigPlanet

The Agency

Wipeout

Metal Gear solid 4

Metal Gear Solid online

And hey ... most of those are for just this year alone. This 'PS3 has no games' excuse is laughable.

Ok lets see.... the 360 has games, good games, games that are out and we can play now. I own both systems and so far I have used my PS3 to play .... 1 game : Resistance other than that I watch movies and run Linux.

Also about your list of games up top.. Black was on both systems and the sequal more than likely will be too. Unchartered was cool, but its just Tomb Raider with a guy, GTA IV is multi platform, 360 has Forza to PS3 GT5. FFXIII will rock (hopefull) They are far better fighting games than Tekken. Killzone wasnt that great so the sequal is a toss up at this point. Resistance is pretty cool I'll give you that and I'm excited about LBP. Wipeout... I mean seriously... MGS is very much like it or hate it, me personally I dont care for it, but I think it will help the PS3 out alot. and MGS online... want that just be a bunch of people in boxes with exclamations above their head? :p

And the 360 has just as cool of a line-up IMO, but than again thats what all this is based on is opinions.

Ok so I am ordering me a 52" LCD today and I am wanting to mount it on the wall. My problem is, however, I cant mount it on 2 studs because the way the room is laid out. Does anyone know if 1 stud will be enough to hold this? The TV is like 98lbs without the stand and the mount is another 30lb. Just need to know if 1 stud will hold the wait.

If you are wanting to save some cash you can get a 50" rear projection 1080p 120hz for about 1000 less or more. The big problem with Rear Projection is you will have to replace the lamp about every 3 years or so and they around around $200. Also if u are wanting to make your living area look stylish and free of clutter get a LCD so you can just mount it on the wall.

You might want to look at Creative's new x-fi cards, they have some that come with the 5.5" panels with all sourts of connections, maybe it will have a optical in? so you can run optical from your t.v. to your computer that way? Not sure if your tv has optical out though.

Well I can tell all the non-believers that this game IS really good. It just FEELS like I'm playing a Final Fantasy game, from the music, gameplay, narration, style... everything.

Griping about the load times is a bit ridiculous too. Whoever said 5-10 seconds for every area either hasn't played the game or has a defective xbox. I can deal with a FEW seconds to load every few minutes.

Other than the framerate dipping every now and then (which really isn't a big deal AT ALL), I really don't have any complaints whatsoever.

I've been fiending for a quality JRPG ever since FFX, and FINALLY I have one to sink 40-50 hours into.

Two big thumbs up here.

Agreed. Any person who actually owns both consoles can give a valid opinion, like you and I. But I see a lot of people voicing their opinions and I only see a PSN tag. :| Oh well...this game is great.

Yeah theres nuttin but fanboys here going up in arms ready to bash anything that isnt final fantasy I feel its a great great game and the story is superb but w/e lol fanboys miss out.

Yes, this is a really good game. The Load times are not that long, a few seconds at best. As far as the framerate, I have only really noticed it loading into a fight sequence, otherwise the game seems to run pretty smoothly. Oh, and OMG! its on 4 disk what an atrosity (spelling might be off) you have to get your lazy arse off the couch and change a disc! what has the gaming world come too... its unheard of! 4disk!!!! lol, you fanboys crack me up.

Plus if you ask me real gamers would own everything so they can sink their teeth into all the goodness all systems have to offer.

Plasma will fade out soon mainly because they are way overpriced and they die quicker than a LCD. As far as your question about the 120 refresh rate.... no, you dont need one of those, just make sure the LCD tv you buy has a good response time. For most gaming 8ms or lower should be good enough you dont notice any ghosting except in the most extreme cases.

Sharp Aquos and Sony Bravia are going to be the two brands I'd recomend.

Your question is worded really confusing... it seems like what you are wanting to do is pass your PC sound through your tv to 5.1 speaker set up? if this is the case just buy you 5.1 computer speakers and a good sound card. And if you are wanting to watch T.V. and the sound come out of the same speakers just buy you a T.V. card for your PC as well.

Yes if you can get that tv for $550 than you are getting a steal.

Yes, it is PC ready wich means it will have a 15pin VGA input so you can play your 360 on it that way.

There are quite a few good models out there, depends on if you want a LCD or if a rear projection is ok. If you are needing to save space, go with the 40" or 46" models. If money is not a option go with the ones that supports 120hz. The 40" is $2799.98US and the 46" is $3599.99US. You can get the none 120hz wich still supports 1080p for $1899 and $2299 respectively. If space is not a issue there is a 46" rear projection 1080p for 1299 or you can get a 50" 1080p with 120hz for 1799. Its really up to you in what you think you need, size vs price, price vs options.
