I've got a dell xps 700 and I'm doing some upgrades for xmas. I currently have 2 gigs in there but I'm thinking of either adding more or buying new. I'm sure how great the ram is that dell puts in there so I'm considering just buying some new ram off of new egg that is a brand that is best in performance.

Should I just stick with the 2 gigs I have now and have more money for upgrading other parts or buy better ram?

So when's this thing comming out anyways? I think I read somewhere Dec. 11th. How much will it be and will it be any better than the 8800GT? I'm still debating on whether or not to order the 8800GT now or wait for the revised 8800GTS.Any recomendations?

I decided that I want to back to XP and forget vista. My computer came formatted on windows xp and vista just slowed things down. So, my plan is to buy a new hard drive and install windows xp again with the dell operating system cd. So basically I'm going to pop out my old hard drive, pop in the new one and install xp from there.

Would this work or am I missing something?

Alright thats good. What kind if hard drive should I aim for using, I read somewhere that it's not good just to use any hard drive. BTW, would adding 1 gb of ram to already 2 gb of ram make much of an improvement? Thanks
