Holy cow, I got a bad feeling from playing the demo, but even with how far RE5 slipped, I wasn't expecting it to be this bad. Capcom, what are you doing?
I had a gut feeling that this game wouldn't deliver. Couldn't be happier that I was wrong. It has lots of little flaws, but they're buried under a huge mountain of awesomness and satisfaction. Dragon's Dogma is worth playing.
Big success in sales, maybe. But as a quality game? Not so much. Call me crazy, but I'd never label something I created or published a 'big success' if it was critically panned by both critics and consumers. Just because someone buys something, doesn't mean they'll end up enjoying it.
Of course, Capcom couldn't care less as long as the dollars keep rolling in.
I refuse to believe Capcom could possibly be that low. I thought they'd be off the freaking charts with all of their on disc DLC. Look at the furor SFxT has raised recently with it's 12 'hidden' characters. What sort of issues qualify as a complaint, anyway? Is it more about game bugs and faulty consoles?
Good article. I've long since grown tired of the same comments that appear on every piece of media involving Poison. Someone will say "Poison is hot!" Then five people will reply "Lol, she's actually a transgender!" as if it matters at all. Really now, it's old news that's been around as long as Final Fight. Get over it, people. It gets as tiring as the "I'll just wait for Super Street Fighter Alpha Omega Zero X 4: Third Strike HD edition!" jokes.
