Im still gonna buy UC:GA, i mean when you want to compare it to the console versions its gonna be hard to win. But I played the demo of Gravity Rush at gamespot which was the first time I actually got some hands on with the Vita and I thought it was pretty awesome. The screen is on par with top of the line smartphones and it felt pretty good in my hand.

[QUOTE="rasengan2552"][QUOTE="ShadowDeathX"] Also notice how Unreal 1998 is shown in almost 720p. That was shown 14 years ago on a resolution console gamers today have to play in.

harsh reality check for consolites.

Except Unreal in 1998 had such low quality assets( textures, lighting , geometry) that it looks like complete garbage by todays current console stanards. There was no reason to push beyond 720p when the consoles came out as most people didn't even own HDTV's.

This is why you should give hermits a big hug. Graphics and gameplay (like in-game physics) would stagnate were it not for the technological push forward by PC gamers. Those leaps and bounds you enjoy every console generation don't just happen by themselves. Everything would go the Wii route (Bigger sales/less development and manufacturing cost) if it were not for Hermit love.

And you should give console gamers a hug to( well at least the core ones) as those big budget blockbusters couldnt surive if they were only released on PC. Core gamers across all platforms benefit from a platforms success.

[QUOTE="RyviusARC"][QUOTE="arkephonic"]All things considered (technical, art direction, performance, animations yada yada).... Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube REmake was the best looking game last gen, IN MY OPINION!!!

Indeed it is a nice looking game.

The remakes looked amazing but its hard to put them in there when they used pre-rendered backrounds. I went back and played one a couple monthes ago and it was almost unplayable. Each room you walked into had to load , the camera never moves, you could shoot a rocket launcer at a wall and it wouldnt show a dam thing. So although they looked great it was at the cost of alot of other things.

10x more than 360? That's not exactly praise worthy.

so we can expect wii-u level.

ReadingRainbow4
Nvidia said there latest GPU had about 10x the power of current consoles so that would put next gen consoles on a equal level of high end pc's of today.

Anyway, as for the OP. I think it will be blamed, and it deserves it.

Have you seen any commercials for the Vita that aren't Taco Bell? Go around and ask peole, does anyone know what a Vita is? I walked into a nearby GameCraze and asked about this, the public awareness for this thing is ROCK BOTTOM. This thing launches in what, a week? Seriously, the **** is Sony doing?

From what I can tell the Vita hardware itself is still excellent, regardless of Sony's retarded marketing team. I will still be getting one [still don't know if I'm going to be a launch buyer; college courses], but the closer and closer this thing gets, the more critical the situation looks.

Why do people act like TV commercials are all that matters? The average person doesnt even pay attention to TV commercials. The best forms of advertising are on the internet and if you want to see some good adds check your PS3. There advertising it first to that 60 million + fanbase that owns a PS3 then from there you bring out the casual commercials to get a wider audience. You can say its gonna flop all you want but I doubt very seriously they have a hardtime selling out of the launch systems.

The launch systems will probably sell easily enough, but I don't think Sony can keep the sales going for too long after that. In all likelyhood the sales will sink like the 3DS and, like Nintendo, Sony will be forced to cut the price [or at the very least make a game/memory card bundle]. The ads on PS3 are a clever idea but I seriously doubt its enough. Again, public awareness for this thing looks.... not good.

Yes it needs more marketing but in all honesty its not smart to do all your marketing at launch. Those units are going to sell anyways its two and three monthes later when you want to do the big marketing push. Hell look at the Sega Dreamcast it had a extremly successful launch and great hype and after the launch it went down the toilet and advertising went to 0. Word of mouth is the number 1 way a product sells and I think once people play it they will like it. I wouldnt be surprised if it gets a slow start but I do beleive it will be a successful system.

I just saw the trailer for Gravity Rush , it looks pretty awesome didnt even know what it was till today. I plan on getting a WIfi Vita a 32gig card with UC:GA and Gravity Rush. I would love a game like MVC3 but I already got it on PS3 so I hope they do more unique titles.

not on a HDTV, on a comfy couch

funny how console games are better on PC

HaloinventedFPS

No there not , not unless your talking about emulated versions but then again you are compariing it to 12 year old hardware .

console games look terrible on a HDTV

Current console games still look great I guess your talking about last gen consoles? Yes they look pretty bad but thats 12 year old hardware anything is going to be superior as time goes on. Id take the God of War HD remakes over the emulated PC version anyday.

[QUOTE="SilverSterls"][QUOTE="HaloinventedFPS"]

are you retarded?

if PC was allowed

Doom 3 would win

so whats the point?

HaloinventedFPS

Meh not really, the character models in doom 3 were weak and the whole game took place and these tiny little corridors . The only thing it did real well for its time was lighting and the textures.

nothing beat Doom 3 until FEAR, Half Life 2 and Far cry came close tho

FEAR could be considered next gen

Meh I thought RE4 looked alot better , it had a res disadvantage becaue of the hardware but it had far higher levels of geometry in both the levels and the characters were easily pushing more polygons. SC: Chaos Theory looked better as well.

yes, lets make a thread full of 480p pictures with no AA, everyone will love that

HaloinventedFPS

No, if you actually played a GC and Xbox they would look fine naively. Also the irony.
