So me, my mother, and my little brother are driving on a bridge, and the lane to the right had to merge into our lane. Well, this asshat in a white truck merged RIGHT WHERE WE WERE IN THE LANE!! Seriously, he just continued to speed up while my mom was blaring the horn as we were this close to ramming the guardrail! My mom called the police and followed him, and when he stopped they accused us of trying to cut them off! One of them hurried inside to deposit an open beer bottle, and in Florida it is ILLEGAL to drive with an open container of liquor in the car! It was like the shirtless hick club where this dumbass was. When the policeman got there, he said he couldn't ticket the guy because there were no credible witnesses (though he did ask me about it). Thankfully, the bastard had a messed up taillight.;)

Ugh. . . . . long, boring day. It was storming yesterday. Lights went out for hours, and came back on after everybody went to bed.-_- It looks like it's gonna storm today as well.

I helped my mother mow the lawn yesterday, before the rain. We have a HUGE yard, so it was a pain in the ass.:| Of course we couldn't finish.

I also got a new keyboard for the computer in my room to replace the one with the sticky keys. It isn't connected to the Internet, which sucks donkey balls.:| My parents trust me a lot, but not THAT much, apparently.

Today has been long and BORING so far. The forums are moving at a snail's pace, and there is nothing to do around the house.

*sigh*

So a few months ago I get my blood drawn and tested. I'm 17, so nothing could be wrong at this age, right? Well, my doctor said that I have high triglycerides, which comes from carbs and sugar, and is contributing to my slightly high cholesterol. I have been on a diet consisting of anything low in carbs--like air--ever since.

My grandfather went to an optometrist (eye doctor) to get his cataracts checked, and ends up leaving with the knowledge that he has diabetes, very clogged arteries, and needs open heart five-way bypass surgery. That was months ago; Thank God everything went well, because that is the most complicated surgery you can have, the doctor told us. But now, he is also on a crappy diet, and he will be for the rest of his life.:(

Why is it that when you go to a doctor for something simple and routine. . .and leave with three weeks to live? Oh, well. Ignorance truly is bliss in some cases, but health is not one of them. If my grandfather didn't have that surgery, it is guaranteed that he'd be dead by now.

I have established GameSpot's first Creationist Union. Anybody and everybody who reads this is free to join.:) The union is for discussing Evolution and Creationism, science in a Creationistic view, or just hanging out and chatting!

Now, for the news. I went to the last day of the convention, and just as I predicted, I bought about a million new books. Not the least of these is Starlight and Time by Russell Humphreys.:D I'm tired now, but it was worth it! I have also found the miracle book: A book written in an almost completely unbiased manner for the Evolution/ Creationism controvercy! It weighs the evidence for both theories, was written by two former Evolutionists, and is fairly recent. I love it.:D:D:D:D:D:D

Something's been going on with my sig lately.:( It won't show in any of my posts; Instead, it just gives that red x. Oh, well. I'll have to get it changed, but for now, I'll probably just leave it.

I went to the first day of the H.E.R.I. convention today. It wasn't as tedious as I anticipated, and it was actually kind of fun (with the exception of the outrageously expensive food!:evil: ). I bought two books, and I plan to buy more tomorrow. Everything is on sale as well, and I saw some very good books with many Creationist theories. I learned more about Creationism and Evolution (yes, we had that too) today than any other time in my life. They also had some dissection things: Sheep brains, cow eyes/hearts, fetal pigs, frogs, earthworms, crickets, and others. Surprisingly, I didn't barf, even at the fetal pigs. I saw some Apologia books; I love their science courses. I'm going to have to go up there alll day tomorrow, but I look forward to it.

I am getting tired of this. So very tired.

Some of you may already know that I frequently participate in the. . . .discussions. . .of the controvercial topics in the OT forum. Well, I am losing the will to continue in those. . .discussions. . . .nothing ever changes. Nobody gets nicer, nobody changes their minds, nobody gives. There sin't a point, and even though I know this, I can't seem to stay out of them, especially the ones that involve my Christian faith. I don't know. I think I'm statrting to head in the direction as many before me and just stop participating and making myself look like an idiot. But I won't stop posting in the ones about my faith. Even if I stop arguing about abortion, or politics, or homosexuality, I won't just let people bash my faith. That's where I draw the line. As for everything else. . .I think this pic sums up my feelings pretty well.:P

Well, I FINALLY have a new emblem on my profile. And it only took twelve levels!:o I was getting sick of that one and only gray emblem.:P I wonder how I got it. . . . .oh, well. Anyway life has been pretty boring. We put that crappy boat up for sale and we have two offfers. I have to go to a convention for H.E.R.I. on Friday and Saturday. . .our schedule for those days is

So my idiotic dumbass of a step-father bought a boat, without looking at it, without checking it out, at a time when we need the money, and took it out on a river with me, my mom, and my little brother. When we got back from a longer-than-expected trip (the engine stalled.:roll: ), we had to grab onto a dock in order to pull ourselves to it. Well, my mom and little brother were on the side of the boat facing the dock, whereas I was on the opposite side. HE kept on saying "Help them, Logan!" I said "I can't, there's no room!" So what does he say? "You are the most worthless teenager I have ever met."

It took EVERYTHING I had--and more--to not shove his worthless ass off the boat right there. I let him walk off, and I said to Mother: "If he EVER says that to me again, I'm going to tell him EXACTLY how I feel about him. I will NOT be told I'm worthless by somebody like HIM."

My mom knows good and well how I feel about him, and she isn't far from that feeling herself. I'm still fuming from that. That asshat.

Anyway, today's my mother's birthday. Of course, she's depressed because of the $1600 we blew on the boat. . . .HE blew on the boat. . . .

Nothing to do really. I argued about drugs, but I had to leave. Oh, well. I've been accepted into the Christian union.:DI was hoping I would. Saw fireworks out by a bridge last night, they were really close. Some idiot nearly ran into me with his car. Today was boring, my mom had to have acupuncture, which takes HOURS, and she has to do it three times a week at a doctor office with ONE doctor, so it takes FOREVER to get in. Not to mention the time it takes to do the procedure.But the doctor is amazingly good, so we still go. Have to go again tomorrow.:( It conflicts with my bowling. That sucks.
