It's not Sega's fault, they are working very hard to get the games distributed to all regions as quickly as possible. Due to the snowstorms several regions have been facing throughout the past week, some shipping is behind. You'll receive your copy soon, and by the way, its so fun!

Simple answer for a simple question: If you using an awesome 7.1 headset with deep bass ( I use the Turtle Beach X41s) then all those explosions, grenades, and generally sound ambiance will be deep and you can feel the sound. The X41 has great bass so you truly feel like your there in the action because in real life, you hear sound and feel it.

Bluetooth earpieces (they are not headsets) are garbage. You cannot effectively listen to the game while covering one year with chat...especially for those of you getting ready for mag. Full featured headsets are the way to go, my cousin swears by his Turtle Beach P21.

I'm so bored of CoD and Halo. AVP is a breath of fresh air, and is awesome. The demo sucks, its a better game for TDM or different situation mulitplayer. Once different races are teamed up.. and the single player....its going to be amazing. I'm lovin it!

I have just started playing Fallout 3 and i think it is pretty good but people say you will get sucked into the game. I have not got sucked into the game yet and i am up to the part where you have just escaped the underground facility and you are in wasteland. How long do you think it will take me to get sucked into the game.

Takemondu

It took me about 4 more hours past leaving the vault to get really into the game. Stick with it a little longer.

if you're willing to spend some money, the combo of the astro mixamp + a good pair of stereo headphones ( audio technica ad900, sennheiser hd555, etc.) really cant be beat as far as console gaming. the mixamp gives you a 5.1 surround sound signal and when combined with a good pair of stereo headphones like the ones i mentioned, the outcome is amazing. plus, youll have a nice pair of music phones too. the only downside is they dont have mics attached to then, but this is easily remedied by buying a zalman clip on mic for around 10 bucks or so. its probably more than you're willing to spend, but its the best you can do as far as console gaming. i prefer my mixamp + akg-k601 setup over my surround sound system. just throwing it out there...

No. If your going to do that, get the Astro Mixamp and the Turtle Beach HPX headset which has amazing sound AND a mic. If you were going to spend that kind of money for a non competition headset, you would just buy the TB X41. But this guy is starting out, and wants value, so lets stick to that. I think the X1 is a great headset, but you could also go for the X31 for $100.My buddy went TB recert and loves his set., the old models are still great. You could get the wireless X3 for only $70 or the 5.1 surround X4 for only $129 I owned that set for almost a year its awesome.

I always hear about problems with people using that headset, you should look into the HPA2/HPX/AKR8 from Turtle Beach, I use the HPA2 on my desktop computer it sounds awesome

Easily the trittons, but I'd go with the AX Pros instead of the 720. The 720 and TB X41s are only 2 speaker using Dolby Headphone to play Dolby Digital signals (5.1 or surround sound) over 2 speakers. From my past sets that did faux surround, all did not offer as good of positional audio as my AX 360s, which are an older model of the AX Pro. the AX Pro offers better SQ and PS3 compatible mic as well as 360. Also the AX Pros and AX 360s have 8 speakers, 4 for each ear, for true surround. 1 sub in each, 1 center in each, 1 for left front and left back, 1 for right front and right back. IMO, far superior than any similar priced headsets for surround sound in games. Now if you wanted headphones for music, thats another story

As for the accuracy of positional audio, you seem a bit mislead. Using only two speakers and Dolby Headphone technology, you actually get much better and more accurate directional sound. It gets pretty techy, but Dolby timed how long it takes sound to reach either either from each position. If you have mulitple speakers in each ear, you just have those indiviudal speakers creating the noise and the direction depends on the positioning of the speaker in each eap cup, which can be inaccurate. For more information on Dolby Headphone Technology, refer to the following site:

Now i've owned both the Turtle Beach and Astro Headsets, and I have to say my experience with the Turtle Beach headset blows the Trittons out of the water on several bases. I find the Trittons have very little base which sucks when your playing games like Call of Duty and want to really feel the action. The Trittons fit your head weird and are very uncomfortable, while the Turtle Beaches are extremely light to the point you forget they are even on your head. Last but not least, the wireless Turtle Beach means no tangled up in a mess of wires!

This is an easy one, def the X41s. The tritons are uncomfortable and fit the head kind of weird, and they have some weight to them. My X41s are awesome - lightweight and wireless! They are also 7.1 instead of 5.1 and the sound is soo clear...directional sound is also on point.
