everytime nintendo or sony come up with something, everyone always says "yeah it's cool and all, but it's nothing like XBL", so i ask this question, what can nintendo do to make it's online service as good or better than XBL?nintendo-4life
I don't know that they can do to make it better, but to make it as good they need: Online Wii games Online VC games Achievements system Verbal chat Downloadable demos Downloadable content (bonus if it just doesn't unlock something already on the disc) I don't expect Nintendo (or even Sony) to achieve online as good as XBL. But, I'd be happy if Wii online was simply fast and friendly. It'd be nice if the friend thing worked as simple as clicking on my friends' Miis and within seconds we're playing together.

New, they barely discount used where I'm at. A $3.00 discount for a used vs new means I'm going to buy the new game. It always bugs me when I can only find the game used and there ends up being no manual inside. I remember back in the day (NES catridges), they'd discount better for things like that; but apparently case + game = case + game + manual.

I've been looking everywhere for Advance Wars, but I can only find used versions online that are are least $35.  If there's this high of demand for the game (used is at/near full price) why don't they produce another shipment?

Even though Meteos doesn't have multiplayer I find it has a lot of replay value with mulitple endings and fusing new planets, items, sounds, etc. This is normal Meteos, I haven't played the Disney version.

I've noticed a few times the controller just doesn't do what I want it to. I know some of it is caused by moving the controller too fast. Like in golf, if you move the controller back quickly and stop quickly, it'll swing. I still haven't been able to do uppercuts or hooks in boxing. Yes, they occur when I'm boxing, but not when I attempt to do them. I'm sure I'm missing something, but I honestly have no clue what I'm doing wrong. With Zelda, I still try to use A as my sword. I realize this is more of a not being used to the controls situation, but my brain simply hasn't switched from press A to attach to slash with the remote to attack. On the other hand, I'd never go back to another controller for aiming in ranged combat. Use of the bow and boomerang (I haven't progressed further) are extremely intuitive. And, while I haven't had any problems with a successful spin attack, I haven't got the shield bash so I have no idea if I'll have trouble there. All in all, for release titles, the controls are pretty good for using an entirely new control scheme.

I suppose so much and so cheaper are relative terms. My time is more important to me than money. I'd rather not be wasting my time tracking down a game at the pawn shop or bidding away on ebay, when I can have the game within minutes on the VC. And, once I have it, it's extremely convenient to "click" a game and be able to play it. I don't have to swap cartridges, worry about save batteries, or troubleshoot the game to make it work with the cartridge.

Yeah, you maneuver Epona so the goats are between you and the barn. Then you just move closer to the goats so that they move towards the barn. If they start to stray, you move so that the only direction they can go is closer to the barn.

I only own a Wii, and it'll probably be my only console for at least a couple years. I tend to use my console to play games when friends come over and Wii seems to be the console best tailored to multiplayer. Yeah, there are a few single-player games I'll play, but for the most part my single player gaming (or online gaming) is done on the PC. If I didn't have a PC (or didn't use it for gaming), I'd do the Wii60 thing. I've never been a fan of the Sony exclusives and I think it's silly to pay extra for something I'd never use (BluRay). MS, on the other hand, has set the bar extremely high with it's online that I think Nintendo and Sony will be lucky if they can catch up to it by the end of this generation. I really see there being very few "must have" exclusives for PS3 or 360. Based on the titles in development most everything that looks awesome (and isn't a sequel to something exclusive) is hitting both.

why are they wii-specific? Explain.greenneil4
I suppose not all of them are Wii specific. Some are, but others are simply built wii-friendly.
