So I bought Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Colonies Edition, thinking that I could activate it on steam(I failed to read that colonies edition doesn't work, I bought the game retail), but it turned out differently. Now I'm thinking about other ways to digitally activate the game, does GFWL work as a DL Manager?

System Shock 2 = Deus Ex > Half-Life

FPS = RPG > FPS?
How does that work?
I'll tell you how it does work... by opinion. That's how it works? Now, how does it work, that you had to pick me out of all the people that posted here?
Lol, I don't really know :D Good question.

Used it for Sim City 4. Didn't have any problems. I don't see why people would be comparing EADM to Steam beecause, well, I was under the impression it only sells EA games. The publisher offering a decent distribution service and getting all of the profits is no problem at all.
Am I going to use it for Mass Effect 3? That's hard to say. I have Mass Effect 1 on Steam, Mass Effect 2 retail (not loving having to pry the disc from my LE box every time I want to fire it up) and I've concluded that having the game digitally is probably a better alternative. And again it all depends on pre-order bonuses too.

You need to have the ME2 disc in when you want to play? Doesnt it have some kind of one time activation? Disc in the tray is such primitive technology.
He has the retail version. He needs to put the CDKey into EADM to activate an play without a CD. That's the joy with EADM.
you don't need IP. there's a button somewhere but i don't remember anymore. try right-clicking the server when you are in the browser. e: search "games.on.net" from the browser and then right-click to add them.groowagon

Mass Effect 2 retail? Put the cd key into EADM :)
As it is now it's great, since it's just a download manager, it shouldn't become more, but one thing would make it perfect, downloading patches through it, BF 2142 for example has the latest patch included as an extra, but BF 2 doesn't and a lot of other games, except of course the ones with automatic updates like BC 2.

I am happy just to have to feeling of ownership with BC2, because owning the retail copy made me feel... different. :D
And there's no denying a Steam Cloud-like feature would be nice as well. Minimize to taskbar is a must.
I am getting obliterated by 9 year olds in Black ops there very fast in the keys . are there any tips for keyboard . they crouch dive quickly ( c , control ) x for placing 4 and 5 for different grenades , what am i missing it takes time to hit these keys( quickly )without looking and yet the kids im playing against are doing it so quickly . is there a trick or a special keyboard they are using

There's nothing to it. To dive, you need to run & press control. To place equipment(motion sensors, claymores, tactical insertions) you need to press x then LMB. There really is nothing hard about it. Although diving isn't the best tactic if you're trying to kill someone. It looks very dumb from another person's point of view :D
As far as my knowledge goes(not very far), you need the IP address of a server to add it in-game. Not sure how BC2 works...
