When my desire to play them overcomes my desire to not spend any money.SmashBrosLegend

I'm with Smash on this one.

Not including the occasional impulse buy at Best Buy or digging through the bargain bin I tend to hit a point where I say "I'm going to buy some games today" and I head out shopping. I'll usually pick up one that's on my list to play and then make an Amazon order.

Do I think that the inclusion of nudity in the GoW pictures and videos is a bit hypocritical and not in keeping with the sites family friendly PG-13 policy's?
Maybe.

I played the games and I though that the nudity in the game was just the developers way of saying ehhhh were going to get an M rating anyway so why not put some topless women in for good measure.

I have not seen those photo's or the video your referring to here on GS. Are you talking about the video review for GoW or GoW 2? Perhaps you could link to the specific items your referring to. ;)

Some films with brief nudity (topless females) have been rated PG-13. Most notably Back to School, and Titanic. Airplane (made prior to the PG-13 rating) also has a quick topless shot and was/is rated PG. Those are just ones I remember.

I agree the video probably should have been censored but it still falls within the PG-13 gray area as it would be interrupted by the MPAA. The ESRB would and did say M for mature and not for anyone under the age of 17.
Like I said it's a gray area.

I assume your talking about the console version because the cover mechanic works flawlessly for me on the PC and I think it is one of the best aspects of the game. The PC version has the option to use the 360 controller. I tried it and frankly I don't know how you console guys do it so in that case I would have to agree with you. The problem is I think first person shooters in general on console have awkward, difficult to use controls. With that said the cover did seem much more finicky with the 360 controller. On the PC you just run into a wall and hit the right mouse button and your slapped up against the wall in that sudo third person view. I feel the action button to hug the wall and lean around is far superior to press your nose up against a wall and press a lean left or lean right button to peek around corners.

I thought the break from being able to run at 25 mph like in most FPS down to the normal speed of a commando loaded down with body armor and two very large, heavy weapons to be refreshing and much more realistic.

The blur can be cut down quite a bit in the settings but not when you get hit. It seemed to me like an effective change from the typical health bar but I can see this point.

I also agree somewhat on the graphics and although my monitor is not the highest quality R6V seemed to be what I have come to expect from the unreal engine, nothing more. I imagine it would look about the same on a console with a high def TV as it does on my system. The setting was very cool but the colors with the reddish orange look seems to make Vegas look more bland than I would have liked.

I'm not into fanboyisim and the whole just because I like it then there must be something wrong with you because you don't thing. For me that simply does not compute. I can understand why someone that likes the high speed run and gun Halo, Painkiller, Doom type games might be turned off by R6V. I don't want to label you but perhaps this just isn't your type of shooter. R6V is not supposed to be a run and gun game and while in this latest version of R6 they took a lot of the Tactical out of this Tactical shooter its still different from your typical FPS.

I'm not trying to sell you on the game because if you don't like it you don't like it. Your certainly not alone but on this one I think your in a relatively small minority.

I think one thing is for sure, the format for the next one will probably not change much.

My copy of Road Rash for Windows came with a poster and that made up for the really bad version that was nothing like the sega game.

I recently dug up the poster so I can have it framed and hang it next to my Evel Knievel 11 x 14. :)

It's 15 years old now so I guess you can call it art, it's definatly rare.

You can pay $5.95 month to month that means you pay one month at a time $5.95 and you can cancel next month if you choose.

Or...

You can pay an annual fee (12 months in advance) of $39.95 and in that case you would not be able to cancel until your 12 month period is up.

If you pay in advance then your monthly cost would break down to be be $3.33

The latest additions page in the games tab being blank actually is a bug and has been reported by admins in both of these threads last week.

http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26254231

Hopefully it will be fixed soon or we will hear back in one of those threads.

If the feature was working properly and provided you have games on some of your lists the Latest Additions section should look like this with the last three games added to each of your lists displayed and the number of games on the other lists next to the list names

All of the other games list pages (Tracked Games, Collection, Wish List and Now Playing Lists) are working fine.

Thank you for the reply Dracula68 and yes.

I did not say that after clicking on the games tab and being taken to the Games area that the Tracked Games, Collection, Wish List and Now Playing tabs do not work.

I said

"When you click the games tab in a profile (yours or anyone's) it normally shows Latest Additions first, listing the most recent 3 or 4 games added to your Tracked Games, Collection, Wish list and Now Playing. This feature is apparently not working."

I'm sorry if that was not clear. I will try to rephrase.

When you click the Games tab in your profile it takes you to the Latest Additions first.
The area that where the box art and links would normally be does not show any latest additions.

If you are looking at your Tracked Games, Collection, Wish List or Now Playing List and click the Latest Additions tab the area that would normally show the last 3 or 4 games ( I cant remember it's been so long since I have seen it) is blank. None of my other lists have been affected, only the Latest Additions list.

The Latest Additions in the Games tab in profiles is currently blank for all profiles.

I waited a few days since I noticed this before reporting it and checked it on many profiles therefore it is not one of the many temporary glitches that resets itself within 24 - 48 hours.

When you click the games tab in a profile (yours or anyone's) it normally shows Latest Additions first, listing the most recent 3 or 4 games added to your Tracked Games, Collection, Wish list and Now Playing. This feature is apparently not working.

~edit~

I apologize for missing this topic on the same subject due to the title.
User Question

~second edit~

In my browsing today I have run across 4 profiles who have not been affected by this "glitch" however the majority of them are. If it would be helpful will post the names of those profiles.

The one thing I noticed that the users that are not affected have in common is none of them have blogs. This seems to be the only thing I can see as one of them had a review and two had some rated some games. Very strange.
