It really sucks about the BC on the 360. That is one of the things that made me cringe when I heard the PS3 was going the emulation route on all the new units. It totally turned me off on taking the plunge with either system.

The rest of this is a bit off topic so let me apologize for that in advance.

I wanted to give you Knights of the Old Republic (first one) fans the heads up that it is in the Star Wars Best of PC box set. That set is 35 bucks on Amazon and you may be able to find it for less. That set includes 4 other great older games that will all run on fairly modest systems. Empire at War might chug a bit on a weak system but it's the RTS and it should not take too much away from game play if it does. In that set you get,
KOTR 1
Empire at War
Battlefront
Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
Republic Commando

A 14 day trial for Galaxies is included but that's more of an advert than a game.

All of those games are great and the set should provide even the most A.D.D. gamer with 40 to 50 hours of solid game play at the very least. I was one of the people that missed the boat on all of these games so I made out like a bandit. Another thing that is nice is while the games are on 2 DVD's they all boot from the same game disc so it's nice to have them all loaded on the laptop for trips and such and only need the one disc.

I did.
I noticed this cutesy off brand Wiimote cover with hearts on it at
Circuit City a while back so I picked it up to give to her today.
I know it's stupid but she liked it.
Of course she got flowers and other stuff too.

Wal-Mart is worth mentioning.
They don't necessarily have great prices on new games but they often have a bargain bin with dirt cheep ds, X-box and PS2 games. Sometimes a low as 5 dollars.

I absolutely recommend you hit up the GameStop web site, look up the stores in your (current) area and call around for your hard to find (used) games. The store locator will give you the locations of both GameStop and EB games. Provided your in a larger metropolitan area chances are there are more than 5 within 25 mi..... ahem... 40 or so kilometers ;) of you. I have 6 within 10 miles and 9 within 25 miles of my house.

Gamestop will have the biggest selection and will have discounted used games but almost all new games there will be full MSR price.

PS2 still has games coming out for it so it's way too soon to remove that one.
Game Cube probably should have been made a sub category in the Wii section but that's not as much of an issue.

I don't understand the need to remove the paid subscribers forum. Removing things from paid customers that are being actively used seems wrong. If it had been months since it had been used that would be one thing but that is not the case. No longer having that area available is certainly going to negatively affect the decision I am currently making regarding whether or not it's worth it to become a subscriber.

My 2 cents.

This game was out 5 or so years ago.

In the game you could create mutant animals with say a lobster head and shark body or a lion body with a rhino head and then fight them against other created mutant animals.

Any help?

Now I know many of you have PSP's and DS's that you carry around with you but how many of you actually pack up your console along with all it's crap and take it with you?

I'm traveling to the east coast (I live in California) for 3 weeks over the holidays and I decided that in addition to my laptop loaded up with my favorite games maybe it would be a good idea to pack up the console too. I always take a large chunk of my DVD library with me to share with friends when I travel and that works out great but this will be a first. It seems that no matter how many movies I bring there is always something someone asks for that I have but didn't bring. Last year I brought 140 movies and what did they ask for? Beverly Hills Cop of all things but I digress.

So, do you / have you, taken your whole set up on the road with you? Was it worth it? Is this a bad idea? How about, have you packed it up and taken it to a get together around town? Maybe your friend has that 42" plasma your never going to be able to afford so that was reason enough to lug your X-box over there one day? I'm sure taking a Wii to a party would be fun but is it smart? How about your PS3? Tell me about your experiences with gaming on the road.
