So here is my first official movie. It's a clip from the Halo 3 beta. One of the guys I was playing with dropped the trip mine into the center launcher on Valhalla. I just happened to be sniping in that direction and it just happened to hit some unfortunate player on the other team. The best part is that it didn't even really hit him, but he went flying across the map. I'm going to add a few more videos, including a highlight reel from the beta and a gameplay video with running commentary about the changes from Halo 2. Enjoy.

My days of video capture have begun with some content from the Halo 3 beta. Expect several movies in the next week.

I finally got 5 Stars on every song at the Hard difficulty on Guitar Hero II.  I think I am satisfied with that.  I don't want to be one of those people who plays it so much that they can do it blindfolded; I'd rather have a life.  All that remains now is to finish all the songs on Expert which shouldn't take more than a day.

 

Also Spiderman 3 was awesome. 

Woohoo! The Red Wings had a thrilling overtime victory last night to tie up their series with the Sharks. I only got 3 and a half hours of sleep but it was worth it to see them come back and win like that. In other news, I'm going to see Spiderman 3 tomorrow and Breaking Benjamin on May 20th. I've also been playing Viva Pinata and it is an awesome game. Don't let the cartoony graphics (which are great by the way) fool you into thinking it's not complex. Anyways, Halo 3 approaches.

Well, I am officially done with my undergraduate degree.  I will be graduating on saturday with a BS in biochemistry.  I am so happy to be done and can't wait to start med school in August.  I'm only working about 30 hours per week this summer so I should have plenty of time to relax and get some serious gaming done.  I can't wait.  Check me out online in the Halo 3 beta. Afer however many years I've been visiting this site, I finally made myself a banner. Let me know what you think in the comments section.

This is probably the most stressed I have been in my entire college career. My thesis is due on Tuesday and I can't wait to be done with it. That's also my girlfriend's birthday so that's on my mind too. After that, I will be home free.

I would start this by lamenting about how I haven't posted in a month, but in all honesty that's probably a good thing. That means I've been doing my work and getting things done. Just 23 days until I graduate, and have my last free summer. Med school starts August 8 and I can't wait.

So in the past month I decided to apply for the Army Health Sciences Scholarship and that's taking up all my non-school time right now. Of course I still made sure to download and thoroughly beat Castlevania on XBLA. I already have the game on PS but I really want to support awesome releases like this one. Hopefully more will be on the way.

So I bought Alien Hominid HD on XBLA last wednesday and I am absolutely pleased with it. The graphics are great, the gameplay is exciting, and the price is right. I give it an 8.1.

Since I will be getting almost $900 back from the government on my tax return, I also ordered Guitar Hero 2. I was torn between the PS2 version and the 360 version, but I already have GH, so I went with the PS2 to get the second controller. The game is cheaper this way too, so that's a plus. I got it for 10% off yesterday at redoctane.com and it came with a free "gig bag" for the guitar. I'm extremely excited and I know it will screw with my upcoming exams.

By the way, check out the achievements for the 360 version if you want to buy it. Some of them look insane, although I heard the point values are roughly doubled for this game compared to the first.

I finished Halo and got to see the hilarious Legendary difficulty ending.  It was a good run, but I don't plan on playing again any time soon.  I'm looking forward to some serious online Gears of War, playing through on insane with my roommate, and making progress through all 8 Megaman games on my new disc.

One more week until Spring (read: WINTER!!!) Break.  Can't wait.
