I did well enough on my cell bio exam, but the next few weeks are loaded with stuff I need to do.  Fortunately spring break is just a week away.  I'm almost through "The Library" on Halo, putting me rather close to the end of the game, so that's exciting.  I also picked up MegaMan Anniversary Collection at Sam's for $13 so I've been playing that a little bit.  It's a great collection.

I'm ever so slowly making my way through Halo on Legendary.  It's been hard to find time with classes, work, research, and my girlfriend, but I'm up to the Silent Cartographer.  I am officially convinced that Halo: CE is much more difficult than Halo 2.  I've already been stuck in as many frustrating spots in the first three levels of Halo as through the entire game of Halo 2 on Legendary.  Hopefully I'll make a little more headway this week, but more exams coming up so it's not too likely.

I'm starting to consider staying here for the summer and working part-time since it could be my last chance for free time for the next 7 or 8 years.  And I'll be so in debt when I finish med school that it won't really hurt me to just get by and pay the bills this summer.  Also, I may just sign up for the Army's Health Scholarship which would leave me with no worries about money, so working too much this summer wouldn't make sense.

So after getting home today from 7 hours of classes I was met with some unfortunate news. The Halo 3 website says that phase 2 registration is now open, but there is no way to sign up which seems to indicate it had been open for a while and is already filled. To check it out I headed over to the xbox.com forums and sure enough it started at 1pm, 4 hours before I could even get to a computer. Oh well, if Crackdown turns out to be an amazing game I will buy it and get in, but there's no way I'm willing to pay for a crappy expensive game for the chance to work for Bungie.

As for other news, I just started up Halo: Combat Evolved the other day. I just finished Halo 2 on Legendary (don't ask why, I just got the urge after playing Oblivion for about 40 hours) and decided I should go back to the first one. I never owned an XBOX so I've never played through the original's single player campaign. So far it's moderately tough because of massive amounts of enemies, but they aren't nearly as smart as those in Halo 2, so it's just a matter of patience. Not that Halo 2 was particularly difficult, it's just the same old peek, shoot, hide for every enemy.

After Halo (or maybe during), I'll probably go back to Gears and Oblivion and possibly Half-Life 2.
